Here it comes guys Elon Musk is getting control of the United States financial system to rebuild it like a business.

We all taught America had reached peak capitalism.  No lol.

Truly,Peak excessive capitalism is a special thing..

But there’s a bright side this is gonna be really good for crypto.

Yep doing exactly what he promised, he's also bringing in maga loyalists to make up his cabinet who have no experience in the jobs they're being put in. 

The takeovers happening folks, but I guess it's what Americans want, billionaires 'regulating' billionaires, I'm sure they'll help out the normal people

Guys you do realize there's currently enormous amounts of inefficiency in the US government?

Some statistics I found online (I didn't verify them):

 

• The CBO revealed at least 1,264 federal programs and bureaus have expired authorizations, but they still received $516B in funding for FY2024

• The Government Accountability Office estimates the federal government wastes $247B in taxpayer money each year

• The Department of the Treasury reported $24.5B in "unreconciled transactions" in the past meaning it spent ~$25B on unknown items

• Department of Agriculture employees misused government issued credit cards spending millions on personal purchases like concert tickets, tattoos, lingerie and car payments

• $33.2M was spent on transgender monkey research

• The NIH spent part of a $2.7M grant to study Russian cats walking on a treadmill

• The DoD ruined $170M of military equipment by leaving it outside

• The US Agency for International Development spent $6M to promote tourism in Egypt

• The SBA gave over $200M to music artists like Post Malone, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne through the Covid Paycheck Protection Program

• The US military bought soap dispensers for aircraft at over 80 times the commercial price

@cistanche_enjoyer Sigh... And here I keep getting surprised by the levels of gullibility of his voter base. Put two and two together. Combine what Trump has said during interviews, what he has done in the past, and then just THINK for one moment, and it should be clear as day what his aims are with this new department. You can't be serious.

Trump doesn't give a damn about efficiency. He wants to further his grip on power to the greatest extent possible, and he need loyal supporters around him to accomplish that. When he realized he could attempt to coup the country without getting punished for it, that's likely reinforced in him that he can do whatever he likes in his efforts to completely reshape the United States from the ground up.

You realize this is a move that could destroy the US democracy? You guys are taking your institutions for granted. They are not solid, they never have been, there is no such thing.

They can be weakened and eroded like any other thing in the universe.

Well that are just your personal speculations... we'll see how it turns out.

What if they can really save a lot of money and put it to use in better places (e.g. solving hunger, homelessness, our environment and the many problems America is facing today). 

You may believe that Trump is an evil dictator (btw why hasn't he done all these evil things in his first term?), but Elon Musk is an intelligent man with compassion. Just listen to him speak on any recent podcast and it may give you hope for our future.
