My first experience with bufo

I read probably over 200 trip reports of 5 Meo DMT so far over 11 years and never ever someone mentioned that reactivations can happen while you are driving or other risky activities. That's not the nature of reactivations which only occur if you are in a safe place. Your body isn't stupid.

Don't spread such rumors.

I've had subtle reactivations while driving, and I personally know several people who have had intermittent reactivations all day, every day, for weeks. They chose not to drive for obvious reasons.

Today, two weeks after my first bufo experience, I decided to do an LSD-trip on a small dose. Let me share some musings.

I thought of the recent SpaceX Launch, where they launched this spaceship into outer space and then the booster returned to earth, being carefully caught by the big chopsticks of the tower. This seemed like a neat metaphor for how I experienced the bufo comeup and comedown. Rapidly being blown to space and then coming back down just as rapidly, while not crashing back to earth, but being lovingly and carefully received back by the chopsticks of the human form. No hangover, no headache, no dip in mood, no ship to repair.

But cute metaphor aside, what was interesting during the trip was how similar it felt to the bufo experience at times, especially at the peak. It was by no means as intense or significant, but it had this same primal, ancient feel that I had at the bufo retreat and I felt like I was going much deeper than on previous LSD-trips.

@What Am I @OBEler  I wonder, is this something you experience as well, like a similar "coloring" of other psychedelics? It kind of felt like a new way was paved back then that is now more easily rediscovered? I hope I am expressing myself well here.

Yeah, that's for sure. I once had a week-long stretch of reactivations that were entirely disruptive to my life. I had to call off work and hunker down until it finally dissipated.

I believe there's a couple factors occurring here.

First of all, it's 100% the case that a 5-MeO-DMT breakthrough can color the effects of other psychedelics for a few weeks at least, if not much longer. It's similar to how you might imagine it, where a door has seemingly been opened between yourself and God, or more precisely, yourself as God. An opening that powerful doesn't just immediately slam shut, so bits of that power shine through when you're in a heightened state, whether from psychedelics or something like meditation.

But secondly though, LSD is special in that it has a propensity to cause a non-dual state all by itself that's similar to 5-MeO-DMT's. So taking LSD when you're still within a couple weeks of a 5-MeO-DMT breakthrough increases the chances even more of eliciting the state.

It's all very cool and interesting, but I've found it's best to take it easy and let yourself energetically integrate after a major breakthrough. No need for other psychedelic trips for a little bit. If you push things too far, you'll find yourself spinning off into some seriously uncomfortable states.
