Self acceptance meditation.

7 posts in this topic

Acceptance is the thing that we all struggle with. I discovered a method of meditating which is very powerful for building one's self acceptance capacity.

Sitting in a meditative posture and accepting everything in your experience.

I recently did this and I was smiling during my meditation for most of the time.

The length can vary from 5-20 minutes but not more than that as it can make you tired of smiling. 😂

Nice to hear. I think acceptance is great but I would say it’s a different thing to accept when you are not meditating. It’s like training the ego to not come up as much.

Anyone who says they’re enlightened on this form in anyway is not, except me I am.

Accepting the resistance to accepting is the secret move for many of us. xD That is part of the Sedona method commonly.

To create a space start observing Ego judging, I do this all the time as a secondary Sadhana, whenever I see someone new the ego judges, observe it, how it works, break it down to its fundamental, by doing this then a space is created between You and Ego, Observer/Observed, then via that You identify with Observer, then Acceptance of What is comes very naturally..

I view Acceptance, as well as Living Now, Responding vs Reacting, as Stress Stoppers, this flight or fight mechanism most ppl are living it stops most all Potential for a Human from happening, the Ultimate Potential is Enlightenment, but if Your in fight/flight mode Enlightenment is not an option for You, so start where You are at, baby steps eh..

Like right now , I am suffering for the fact that everyone around me in my college has a girlfriend but I don't and I am trying to accept that. 😂

I do a similar thing when I go for a walk during the summer. I will ask myself "is it possible to completely accept everything that exists right now?" then just pay attention to what is happening right now and accept it without coming up with an answer in words. I will rephrase it in different ways like "Can I be completely at peace with everything as it is now?" It gets me in a conscious state as I go for my walk.
