I don't see meaning in life anymore

55 posts in this topic

Indeed. I looked for meaning pretty much my whole life, I considered the path of love, surrender, and devotion to be the highest truth, but the emptiness is taking over this feeling now. I hope I'm wrong.

This realm God created to look at yourself. You are saying you have no meaning.

There isn't inherent meaning. There is imputed meaning. It's imputed by you. It's up to you. Am I ego or am I god? Let me think. I have a choice. If I make the right one my life is one of meaning and purpose and service thereafter. I am the savior, I am the creator, I am the redemption. How could such lofty lives be meaningless.

Seemingly there’s no ego, there’s no god, there’s no saviour, there’s no choice there’s just this.

Every word uttered is a compassionate concession to any sleepy head.

Speak helpfully and point deftly in order to thwart neo-advaita brainwashing.

You don’t have to pursue anything in life. In fact the average person is somehow like this, just working to make a living, spending time with their family. Most aren’t doing any consciousness “work” or personal development. You can totally live a life where you mostly just chill and do what you please.

The average person is definitely driven by meaning, it's just a matter of where that meaning lies, it could be at the bottom of a bottle of booze, or surviving as a family, to being successful, making more money or self-actualizating. All of these are socially or self-applied meaning making.

I am less and less attached to the life I built.

I am more and more attuned to the joy and the beauty and perfection.

I definitely don't class myself awake but I am sure I see more than most.

How about yourself?

Gosh golly i don’t know.

I don’t know if i’ve told you about my non duality addiction recently.

But now i kind of feel like i don’t have a life neither do you, nobody has built a life.

And it’s a bit unsettling and disorienting at times, like right now actually it makes me dizzy.

Other than that i enjoy walks on the beaches and stuffs.

I too was bitten with the non duality bug which lasted couple of years.

Now I have gone the other direction and can't give it one second of time.

I am very at peace with it and can appreciate the beauty in it nowadays but i am no longer obsessed about it

Nice to hear you too have outlets for enjoyment and leisure and fun

My god, how unimaginative can you be?

Is there truly nothing you could find joy in doing?

If spirituality means being so existentially bored that you slip into nihilism, I’ll gladly pass.

I’m overflowing with desire and motivation, fully aware that life is far too fleeting to see and do it all. That’s my kind of spirituality

“Did you ever say Yes to a single joy? O my friends, then you said Yes to all woe as well. All things are chained and entwined together, all things are in love; if ever you wanted one moment twice, if ever you said: ‘You please me, happiness! Abide, moment!’ then you wanted everything to return!” - Friedrich Nietzsche

The constant trap I see nihilist fall in, the belief that there is no meaning, is itself...meaning. What you don't understand...is meaning....is inescapable. A mind creates, that is its function and since Reality is a Universal INFINITE MIND, all it will do is create forever. As such, it is wiser to create meaning with conscious intention. Nihilism is too lazy with its intelligence.

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

It’s time to abort these nihilistic ideas.

Life has an absolute meaning. The meaning is: existing. No more meaning is needed. The existence is like an infinite supernova that explode in existence infinitely. There is not opposite, then it's absolutely expanded, is infinite and it's absolutely alive. It's like an infinite yes, Totally open, with a infinitely positive push. Being is everything, is the totality, infinitely deep and infinitely open. That's what we are, and we have to open our heart to it. You are, that's it, and it's absolutely everything.

@Scholar It is true

The egoic reaction can happen both ways

Consider also that: as all is impermanent and meaningless, so it is your reaction and your drama

The Awakening into the Absurdism of life is very crude and disillusioning. I struggle with it regularly despite feeling the beauty, awe and perfection of life.

It is what it is I guess

There is an intelligence and love to the Absurdism of Reality; a profound and exhilarating freedom.

Go talk to that girl, go and set up that business, go take that trip. It doesn't matter in the end!

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty. We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Virtuous and Conscious. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life God is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, ... Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

Exactly!

Why isn’t that enough for you? That’s the question you should be asking yourself.
