RED ALERT: We Need to Wage a war on right-wing Terrorism in America!

59 posts in this topic

I am now filled with such incredible fury. I can't even begin to truly describe my raw hate for the god damn conservative movement in America.

Yes, I get now that most Americans are afraid of fast liberal/progressive changes.

However, I fear that even real centrism is dying!

The right-wing terrorism of Trump, MAGA, and corporate tyranny won the battle in 2024.

DEMOCRACY IS ESSENTIALLY DEAD!

THE TRUE SILENT MAJORITY OF AMERICA IS LOSING THE MESSAGING WAR!

So, how can build a nationwide movement against these right-wing terrorist monsters?

Would we need to build a massive private militia to support this pro-democracy movement?

Any suggestions and thoughts that would seriously contribute to fighting this war are welcome.

Could you cool it with the reactionary topics? Trump may be a facist but he ain't building any Mexican concentration camps anytime soon

It would be wise to understand them and get over this need to seek retribution against them. You’re missing the bigger picture here. The world is much bigger than you currently think.

The war is going on inside your own mind, if you’re really honest with yourself.

Get involved in local politics, move to the Northeast or the west coast and pay attention to what happens in January because you can't really do much until then.

Leave a red state if you live in one. Then coordinate with like-minded people in real life to communicate on some sort of encrypted platform as the need arises.

Trump isn't a fascist, it's dumb.

Liberal hysteria.

Yeah he is and it's a good idea to organize politically now if you're in a minority group, like me.

No!

You guys aren't getting it!

Even Leo, who I don't always agree with just recently said in his blog:

"A second Trump term would be absolutely disastrous. It will be by far the most corrupt form of government that America has ever had, by an order of magnitude. The corruption will be horrific and unimaginable. Expect war, violence, abuse of power at unprecedented scale, loss of many freedoms, Federal ban on abortion, white supremacy, Christian theocracy, criminals in the White House, fraud, corporate exploitation, gutting of all good regulations, a generation-long destruction of the Supreme Court, erosion of the legal system, concentration camps for migrants, abuse of all types of minorities, gross incompetence and mismanagement, poisoning of the food and water supply, pardoning of elite criminals, stock market collapse, crypto market collapse, and perhaps the end of democracy and elections. I'm not saying this will happen with 100% certainty, but it's reasonably probable — which is a completely irresponsible thing to gamble with."

We desperately need a once-in-a-generation inspirational leader to lead such a fight against this war!

I also feel the need to bring in pictures of the greatest heroic leaders of America who led our country out of darkest periods in US History:

Andrew Yangs forward party is trying to push for ranked choice voting. That may help in the long run if it succeeds.

If it succeeds....

With all due respect to him, he doesn't have much appeal or charisma. He's been too weak and too unsuccessful of a leader.

I sincerely doubt his Forward Party is going to lead to anywhere.

It’s not about electing him, it’s about reforming the election system in the state. Some elections already implemented it like New York’s mayoral election.

Look man, he has good intentions, but his new party is not going to work....he's not very pragmatic and I don't his ideas gaining any traction at all.

Most Americans want ranked choice voting, its simply a matter of getting them involved.

If you are American you hate democracy. Just as bad as maga. This is the exact way maga acted. God is weeding out the people who throw fit at democracy. America the country  has schizophrenia.

Yeah, they may say that, but most people are apparently not emotionally inspired enough to actually vote for and or fight for it.

It's just like how there's not enough real political will for something like Medicare 4 All even though most Americans want some kind of universal healthcare system.

That’s because Medicare for all requires getting past the pharmaceutical lobby in elections for congress and the president. It’s also a expensive and transformative project.

Ranked choice voting can be done on a state by state basis without major elections and is a relatively simple switch.

Yeah, but I think that most politicians including most of those who are in power at the state and local level have made it clear that they don't believe in rank choice voting. How the hell are you going to fight that unless how you have an exceptionally charismatic leader like Obama or MLK to inspire a serious movement that has a real shot of making that happen? How?!

But you're so enlightened, tolerant, and accepting of what is. You're so supporting of "democracy" as long as it's your side that is in charge, I mean, if you can't see your stage green bias and emotional investment...

So what happens when none of this comes to pass and the war in Ukraine is over by the spring?

Well, then that would mean that we got very lucky that none of that stuff came to pass.

I hope I am wrong or maybe someone else can give me persuasive arguments to help allay my fears.
