Is enlightenment even possible?

I agree with you that overthinking it isn't going to get anywhere. The only good reason for this post is to possibly gain tips about what one could do to reach enlightenment. I mentioned Leo as an example of someone who is extremely devoted. Got me thinking, if he isn't yet enlightened then what's the hope for someone more casual like me. I could also use people like some monks who dedicate their life to this as an example.

Leo is not enlightened because for some incompressible reason he can't understand that: I'm god created the reality to experience myself or for love, is limited in all the directions

You mean that Leo says that and it’s limited?

@Sugarcoat its what Bashar is saying get super excited and then stop and start engaging with mind. He just can't say jerk off. So he says do something exciting. When people normally masterbate they do it all Bashar says let God do some of it.

Yes limited in all directions. In infinity it's impossible that anything or someone do anything for any reason. It happens relatively, things in relationship with another things, but from an absolute perspective, aka enlightenment, there is just total unlimited that is absolute potential. Anything more that that is relative. Enlightenment is put yourself truly in the absolute perspective, then absolutely no trace of anything could remains, then you realize the ultimate nature of reality, what you are . Absolutely simple but not easy

Intuitively I’d say I agree

Another bullshit that leads to confusion is : you are conciousness. Conciousness implies being conscious of something, the fact of being concious, relationship, relative. Then they say: no, because the conciousness is that creates what to be concious of😅. A mess that means nothing. A lot of spiritual teachers say that and I think it's 100% bullshit

lol I agree I’ve been thinking that. For me consciousness is duality so don’t know why they use it to describe everything

Because they can't leave the relative, even they are famous spiritual teachers. One of the most common deceptions of the ego when you are on this path is the need of thinking that you already got it, then they deceive other people thinking that they are helping a lot, but their main reason, without realizing it, is feed their ego

Intuition. For me there is always a background voice that says: toxic, when there is any deviation. The most toxic and dead end path is when it's almost pure, but with a subtle trap. Like a elaborate hook to fish , very well done, almost real. Almost .

Depends of the perspective. From a perspective, Jesus was evil, a demon who threatened with hell again and again if you don't follow his teachings. Then the Catholic church in his name built an empire on the terror of hell and the reward/punishment dichotomy, all of which were lies, inventions to manipulate people and kill mental freedom, producing a lot of generations of repressed people terrified by the hell, then it's bastard son, the Islam, powered the punishment and created a philosophy of fear, repression and hypocrisy.

You may find enlightening the following book by Gary Renard

The Lifetimes When Jesus and Buddha Knew Each Other : A History of Mighty Companions

The Jesus of the bible is a little distorted

I find that it's best to listen to myself. This is a paradox, as one (lol) assumes I am referring to the ego. But, from a higher state of consciousness, you discover that even the ego can be seen clearly as God. The difference is you don't get lost in being a self, but rather watching the Self play out in all of its forms.

@Sugarcoat God is your imagination its powered by energy flowing through body. When you jerk off your energy gets moving your imagination is powered better and your ego mind quiets down. You want maximum energy flow so you just keep edging for an hour the imagination becomes stronger. Then you sit there edging with no mind occasionally throw in something to keep imagination on track. You want the image to appear very clear in the mind so you want to have both 1st person and you in the image at the same time. Now your mind and imagination (God) are communicating with eachother.

And now throw out all that you think you know about this, it is garbage. Is it possible? If it isn't, what's with Gautama and the seemingly sincere others who claim to have had breakthrough into their nature? Maybe a few of them were authentic. That opens the door for contemplation.

The question seems to be asked as a way to undermine the "quest" from the beginning; it's the easy way out--nothing to do, just making a conclusion. Beyond any assertion of its impossibility, what's true remains unknown to us--this is the underlying condition we find ourselves in. Are you going to let that stop you from looking into it?
