Anyone have experience with career counselling?

In a previous post, I talked about feeling stuck in my career. Has anybody here used career counselling to help them put together a plan and move forward? If so, did it help? Who did you hire?

I'm working with a couple of coaches. It's not counseling bit coaching works wonderfully for me. 

So it might be worth a consideration if you can afford it.
