I will document my Personal Dev. journey here. [Experiments with myself]Ā

Ā

Some principles (also a reminder to myself) :Ā

  1. Walk your talk. First implement something in your life before giving advice to others.Ā
  2. Keep your commitments. Be aggressive when it comes to commitments. Be willing to do whatever it takes to keep a commitment.Ā
  3. HarnessĀ your powers (subconscious mind, for example). Don't leave them off the table. Don't lose your potential.Ā ImplementĀ all the useful techniques you know. Knowledge without application is useless.Ā
  4. Do your best to avoid regrets. Regrets (and unfulfilled desires) are the worst things you can have in your life.Ā

Etc.Ā

Personal Dev Blueprint [By Leo]

Constructive criticism is welcome in this thread.Ā

In the beginning, there will be simple and primitive experiments (like creating little habits). As I progress, there will be more advanced ones.Ā

Insight:

To create a habit, vividly imagine how it would feel to have that habit.

For example, how would it feel to get up at 4:30 a.m. every day for more than 30 days?

How much confidence do physical exercise and disciplines give us?

How much confidence would you have after creating a habit youā€™ve always wanted in your life but have always procrastinated on?Ā

Sometimes you won't have motivation, but that doesn't matter. Only commitment matters. Motivation is like a cloud ā˜ļø. It comes and goes. Don't rely on it.Ā

The first few habits I am gonna create are :Ā

  1. Get up at 4:30 am every single day. After getting up : Make your bed. Visualize your time (a limited time frame.) You decide how many hours to live and how many hours to be dead.Ā  Visualize the potential.Ā
  2. ExerciseĀ
  3. Implementation intentions.Ā (A simple yet cool concept.)
  4. Drinking 10 glasses of water daily.Ā
  5. Consistency in Hobbies : Learning Spanish. Reading Books. Etc.Ā
  6. Affirmations (Subconscious mind)

Among few others.Ā

Today's thoughts šŸ’¬šŸ’¬ :Ā

Don't procrastinate too much baby.Ā

ā€¢ā€¢ā€¢

I know I can control myself. Still I don't. It's all about habit. I must have a habit of controlling my emotions (like overcoming limbic friction, choosing the right action over the wrong action, pushing myself instead of slacking off, etc.).Ā

  • Habit of choosing not to masturbate unless I have strong urges.Ā
  • Habit of choosing work when I am sleepy.Ā
  • Habit of taking emotionally difficult decisions.Ā
