Potpourri of Thoughts

54 posts in this topic

Finally decided on a title for this Journal. I figured it will be a compilation of various topics, ideas and thoughts and the word Potpourri best fits that description. Enjoy, and comments are welcome!

So, my first post is going to be a bit of a rant. I refuse to be the crab that gets dragged down in the bucket. I'm constantly trying to show people how to stay in the moment and how to not let the mind use them and suck them into it's constant noise and bickering and seeking attention and trying to keep itself alive and whining and endless chatterboxxxing. Yes, I invented that word.

I'm constantly being put in my place and being told how they want to keep their nightmare alive and how they want to keep living in fantasy land of the mind. They are dead people trying to stay alive in an alive world. Reality is here and now; and every moment is a new moment. Not some dead thought patterns that's stored in memory and to be dug up in times of fearful mongering and endless anxiety attacks.

If I say there are no problems, they say, yes, if I say the mind is creating the problem, they say no that's reality and I have to prepare for the worst. If I show them how reality works and how as consciousness they are creating the worst by preparing for it, they say to get out of their thread because I know nothing. Exaggeration there, but that's how i feel. I'm constantly seeing how we create our own demise, our own suffering, and our own enslavement. When I try to show these idiotic minds that think it is running the show, how it's being done, they tell me I don't make sense and that I'm not sticking to the point and how they want to keep suffering this dilemma (in so many words) and how i'm stopping them from doing so with my bullshit talk. The mind will seek out shit just to maintain itself as a person, it will create problems after problems to solve just to say, see I'm somebody and I matter.

I'm through with all that. I'm not going to even meddle anymore. I'm still trying to settle my own storms and trying to not disturb my own waters.

This is my new home because, I have freed myself from the entanglements of the mind and it will try to tell me I'm spiritually bypassing, not facing reality, don't understand what it's trying to do, it will drag me back down in the bucket of crabs in that world of suffering, anxiety, depression, traumas, fear, self-loathing, self-pity, shame, worthlessness, and all the other shit humanity is being plagued by. This is not about denying, but recognizing. It's about recognizing the mechanics of the mind and how it created itself. How it stays busy and how it will turn you into it's slave. Don't believe me, look around you. Ever since you've been born, it's all you see. Look at this forum alone. Everyday it's another problem for the mind. Same problem, different name, same name different problem. It never fucking ends.

Like I said, this is just a rant, as the energy has to go somewhere. I excuse myself now from situations where I see it's pointless in even trying to talk and explain certain things, because I see where the mind is just unable to even see what I'm pointing to. It can't even compute. It's not trying to be rude, it legitimately can't see what I'm saying. It's all good, though, because at the end of the day, it's all consciousness playing with itself even though the play sucks sometimes.

Might make these turkey meatballs for my Thanksgiving go away dinner.

I'm going away, it's still close by and in the same city, for a few days at a luxury Marriot Resort with a date. It's the same week of Thanksgiving and I chose to make us a lovely pre-Thanksgiving dinner. The Resort comes with a fully stacked kitchen 2bedrooms, a balcony 2 bathrooms, living room, closets and washer/dryer room. It's like a condo. We stayed there before I believe it was earlier this year or last year - I forget. It's a golf resort and has a very serene and lovely atmosphere.

I made us an Italian dinner then and also breakfast omelettes. We had a great time then and looking forward to having a wonderful time this time around. I chose to make meals as I enjoy cooking and the kitchen is there, so why not. If I chose not to, that would have been fine too.

We're thinking some kind of turkey meal and I want to make it simple. These turkey meatballs looks delicious and I'm considering making them. We'll see. I still have 2 1/2wks to decide. For me, this is simple.

I've known him for a few years now, so I don't have to try and impress; he already knows my cooking, and whatever I come up with he'll be fine with. He's not that picky. He's too busy in his own head and world.

I just sent him the link to see what he thinks. Still waiting for a reply. Of course, what he says doesn't matter as I'll make the final decision anyway. I just like to include him so he thinks he has a say. Hehe.

This looks good too. Might make them both. Afterall, it's a 3day event. Have to make them both the same day, though 'cause who wants to cook with a hangover. Turkey Pizza anyone?.🥰🥰

I like this guy's take on manifestation. He's not the typical. He get's to the core and he comes at it from the Absolute sense. He doesn't speak about it from the illusion of separation level, and he understands how to integrate the two and see them for what they are. You can tell the authenticity or "truth" of a teaching if it's underlying essence is love or coming from a place of love. Same here, if it's coming from a place of separation, there's still something missing or something will be off and will be incomplete. His channel is awesome. I just started watching it even though I've seen him before. My state has changed to one of completion and all round and I attempt things now from a place of unity and from the Absolute perspective which, BTW, is much less confusing or tends to bring about things more efficiently. The human way is just a drag and much suffering involved and ego and delusion and misery. I start from the top and work my way down. It's still a work in practice but that's where my focus is.

NATURE: There's nothing more beautiful than looking at the fall leaves with their different colors on the trees with the bright sun pelting through and the blue sky accentuating the beautiful scenery and feeling the sun's rays all over the body through the slight breeze to allow for temperature gauge within so as to not be overwhelmed by the rays. It looks like a beautiful jigsaw puzzle or a welcoming post card pic shown in real life. I live in the woods, so there are lots of beautiful tall trees surrounding the area and it can get so beautiful to look at, no matter the season. As the trees' leaves shed to make way for the winter blues and snowy nights and freezing teeth, even that can be a beautiful scenery to look at from afar. Yeah, from a far. Not with all that snow on the ground and slippery falling and gloves and scarves and puffed up hats on board. No way. But I do like to see the snow on the branches. The leaves are so kind. They shed to make way for the snow. Try having some people shedding their beliefs for a new set of beliefs. Ain't happening. Observe nature unfold and we can learn what it's like to be in unison with life.

ENLIGHTENMENT: People think that Awakening will make them happy or blissful or not suffer. Their goal to Enlighten is to not suffer anymore or to be in a happy state at all times. You were never in a sad state to begin with, and there never was an individual feeling anything. These are sensations that are arising within the activity of mind and we claim them as ours because the sense of the individual self is so strong, believable and the illusion so intense. I'm saying this is with just about everyone and not "you fool, can't you realize this....no, that's not it. I myself is fooled and will continue to be.

No state is permanent; and the body is not equipped to deal with your new-found enlightenment bliss that was magically induced by the mind's own activity. We make up phrases like "before enlightenment, chop wood carry water, after enlightenment, chop wood carry water", to explain away why enlightenment feels the same as before and you're just as miserable now as you were before enlightenment. The mind is very clever, and it can deceive itself to the point where it actually believes it attained some impossible feat. That's how we're able to stay in the illusion and not see it for what it is.

Enlightenment is not a state you achieve, it's a relationship you develop. It is the ability to be in loving relationship at all times to everything,    * Aaron Akbe.*

RELATIONSHIP/SEXUALITY : I'm about to go on a date with a guy I've never met. He's taking me for appetizers and drinks. Decided to talk about some of my personal life. What the heck. It's potpourri - anything counts. Going to go get ready soon. Not sure what to wear. This weather is tricky. It's warm in the day and -1000°at night. Maybe I'll wear a short skirt with some boots and a sweater or a blouse and jacket. Best of both worlds. This is a regular date anyway, so what the heck maybe I'll wear a long plaid dress with sneakers so he doesn't get too excited by my long legs and change his mind. Then I'll have to get out the calculator and start dividing and subtracting and multiplying. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea for me to journal my personal life....it can get pretty whacky and I'm already a whack job when I write anyway. In person, I'm the sweetest thing and the kindest things but on paper I'm a nutcase.

People have continuing daily experiences of depression, I've witnessed it and had a short period of time where it was my experience, so it is possible, but certain experiences are not healthy for the body/mind set up, others are.. Bliss is not the goal or what enlightenment is, its rather the side effect, and before it happens, its an easier path imo, like driving a paved road vs a bumpy one, one can decide to use either, I like paved roads:)

HAPPINESS: Typically it's said to be an emotional state. It encompasses a range of positive feelings from contentment to intense joy, with satisfaction and fulfillment and somewhere in between. Most of us enjoy these feelings more than we do their opposites. We embrace feelings of happiness and try to either suppress or run away from the negative emotions. Guess what, it won't work. Why? There are polarities at play here and we don't decide how they get played only what constitutes for how they get polarized. The energy is going to balance itself out and it will find it's own way of doing that. I don't fully know or understand how it does this in detail so I won't expand on that.

Emotions are energy in motion, and they are short-lived. Get a new car, we're happy, but only for so long. That same car can bring us misery when it breaks down or get into an accident, then we're miserable. Then we settle that matter and become happy again. We want a relationship, we get happy when it arrives and miserable when that person gets on our nerves. Same with anything else. The energy is moving about and is not static because that's what emotions are - energy in motion.

Depression arises when the negative (not bad) emotion gets stuck and cannot move through to make way for other emotions. Think of a rock blocking the river from flowing. Think of when the economy isn't flowing and causes an economic depression. Anxiety arises when a particular or maybe several emotions are anticipated to come before the event even occurs. Thoughts are flowing but the nature of the thoughts is what's causing the anxiety.

Seeking happiness is the same as holding on to sadness. We acknowledge that we're sad by seeking happiness. We try to look for circumstances and situations that we believe will make us happy only to be let down when the happiness goes away and now the quest is on again. All these emotions are flowing through, but we invite the emotion of sadness when we search for it's opposite. We say to sadness you need to go and we say to happiness please stay. The body does not care about being happy, the mind does. The body doesn't even know it's alive, it just is. Thoughts are what's projecting it's state unto the body and the body will reject all states after it has processed it's duration time depending on the nervous system. After the body's capacity to hold unto that feeling comes to an end, the mind says, and depending on the feeling, wait, stay longer and now the body has to use up other energy sources to keep that going and now the brain's dopamine levels gets involved. It's a vicious cycle that can lead to neurosis and an unstable psyche.

If we stop trying to find these emotions, and just allow for them to flow through on their own when they arise, this would lead to a feeling of contentment to where we're contented with whatever emotion that arises and subsides. Orgasms are short-lived. Why do you think that is. Start to observe life instead of trying to control it. It's not about accepting either; that's just the mind's way of saying, "if I could do something about it, I would, but I can't, so I accept defeat". That's just another mind tactic. It doesn't build a strong foundation, it weakens it. Allowing is a better strategy. Allow them to be there without judgements and criticisms. It's not the same as accepting. Allow means you're ok with them visiting and accepting means you've accepted defeat. We go to therapy because we are at war with emotions. We don't want them to be there and we look for someone else to police our feelings, when all we need to do is to allow for them to come and go without attaching to any. We've automatically attached ourselves to the emotion of happiness and when anything else arises, we want them to go away. Sure sign to unstable psyche and neurosis.

She's my new-found love. Love her channel. If I was to ever join a membership channel, it would be this one. Not so much for the content, but just for her. She's so likeable and relatable. She mentions Nero Knowledge too, another channel I love. A few channels I started to watch recently, I'm seeing the chain reaction, even being shared on the forum. Small simple channels and then, Walla, someone will share the same video. Coincidence? I think not.

Edit: The date went lovely. We had dinner and drinks and chit chatted for awhile before going back to his place for some fun. Turned out to be a calculator date, but he insisted so I obliged. This is how it works with me sometimes. Only way it was going to get to the next level anyway. I don't go looking for work dates they come to me. (Sometimes). That's manifestation in a nutshell. Get it. For those who don't realize you're manifesting all the time as God or the Universe, think again. Doesn't matter how it comes, when where or why, as long as it's within your frequency, it's going to happen. Still kept my purity. That's a no brainer.

FOOD & NUTRITION: I don't go nuts with this and I eat whatever I want most of the time. Luckily, I don't want junk or fast food (too much anyway), and I'm used to eating mostly "real" food and enjoy eating real wholesome food. I don't have to really force myself to eat healthily, I have to force myself to not binge or cater to my sweet-tooth cravings. Which is only ice-cream or maybe cheese or chocolate cake. I notice when I drink (mostly red wine), my sweet tooth goes away, I want protein then like eggs, chicken or pizza. I don't drink at home, so the occasional sweet tooth happens when i'm home, and i usually have to go out and get it because, at home, it's pretty much health stuff. It's very rare now that happens so I'm in good shape.

My lord, I don't want to go back to when I spiraled out of control and was craving ice-cream every other day and before that it was oreos a couple years before that. Don't know, but I binged for awhile till I said enough is enough and used Leo's advice from his video "Awareness Alone Is Curative" video to get rid of the 2mth long oreo binge. Never looked back. I had to. I noticed I was having short spasm burst (neck cricking or fingers numbing up to the point i had to shake it back to functioning.) Haven't had that shit since i quit the oreos and noticed it only happened when I had them. I would go through the entire pack in 2days and was having them for breakfast. That's what I call a craving/binge and that something went wrong in my system. I try to give in because I know it's the body's way of saying I'm lacking something, and the oreos probably gave that to it. In this case it was probably something to do with dopamine because OREOS IS LIKE CRACK TO THE BRAIN. My body can handle short bursts like that but not for long. I just don't know how people can eat this stuff on a regular and also all the other junk that's out there on a consistent basis and still walk the earth. I binge for a short while and it feels like I'm about to die. Right now, I'm binge free even though i still eat things that are not so great for me in moderation. For me that's like pizza, cheese, even chicken because of the way it's raised and generic eggs. Those are my junk food when I'm on the health train.

Healthy eating to me is like raw, unprocessed foods from the earth or trees. Things like that. Green smoothies, fruits and veggie, seeds, certain beans, water, coconut water, kombucha, homemade teas made from herbs and whole spices. Shit like that.

I try not to get too crazy with this nutrition stuff because I enjoy food and don't want to turn it into some strict regimented thing that I'm obsessed about. No diets, not sugar-free shit, no gluten-free (even though gluten sometimes affects me in minor ways). Don't like anything that says "....free" on the package, it just means something fake has been added to compensate. I try to keep it simple but tasty and delicious. I can eat an apple whole or sliced with cinnamon, honey and lime. Either way it's simple and tasty. I have yoghurt with berries and bananas and hemp seeds for breakfast sometimes, or I make a veggie omelete with fried plantains or home fries made from white or sweet potato. Some say white potato isn't good for you but that's what I mean by getting carried away. Goddamit, it's a friggin' potato.

They are fucking up the foods these days so we're still gambling with that if not bought from farmers or grown yourself. Fuck all that organic labeling, I don't trust that either; I don't mistrust it, just don't take it on face value and make choices strictly on that. If it says organic, then so be it; if it's not really organic but the label says so, then so be it. I don't think I'll develop high blood pressure because I've eaten some non-organic food, especially since I don't feed the body a lot of junk.

SPIRITUALITY: If there's nothing in it for the mind to do, it will not accept it. If there's nothing in it for the mind to get, it will not believe it. If there's nothing in it for the mind to gain, it will refuse it. If there's nothing in it for the mind to keep it's identity alive, it will not want to hear it. If there's nothing in it for the mind to accomplish it will die. If there's something in it for the Universe to express, the mind will want to change it. Here in lies the tragedy of the mind.

Do you really think that these fools, idiots, morons and jackasses, that live to 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 yrs old, lived and survived all those years all by themselves and figured out in this oh so massive Universe that has no end how to do all that by themselves if they are fools, idiots, morons and jackasses. If they did, then they're not so foolish now are they.

The fools and jackasses and idiots, that don't even know who or what they are, figured out this Universe and how to survive in it and feed themselves and clothed themselves and found friends and learnt all by themselves how to navigate this Universe just by getting a job or working to survive. Think again.
