Letting go and being free from conditioned behaviour

7 posts in this topic

I have been dealing with different negative conditioned behaviours and negative thought and emotional patterns. Reading and applying the simple yet profound principles from "The Power of Now" and Leo helped a lot. I have been getting more mindful in these situations and accept without judgment and try to let go without resistance.

Sometimes these negative behavioural patterns comes in cycles and feels very tricky and hard to deal with. May be I have to go through more mindful emotional labour and consciousness work.

If you know some good content, either videos or books which are best fit in these situation, please share.

Thank you

Currently reading. But it seems more theory in the book than practical steps.

@Sophophile volunteer at a buddhist temple for a month. It can reduce many bad habits or prevent them from even working at all.

The important thing is to have a perception on how you feel. then you can see how you feel going into the bad habits and the change from positive to negative is enough to convince you. Or at least that’s the goal. Also a lot of Buddhist monks and nuns have been ex-addicts of many problems to they can talk to you about how to cure stuff and often put it’s is a shockingly simple way.

Anyone who says they’re enlightened on this form in anyway is not, except me I am.

@Sophophile I would also recommend doing the inner smile mediation for 15 minutes this will increase your positivity every day and will grow in strength.
