Trump on the Joe Rogan podcast

215 posts in this topic

We just kicked out a right-wing government that spent 8 years trashing everything our people built over centuries. And what freaks me out is that their talking points are EXACTLY like what you hear from Trump and his crew.

It's wild - actually kind of creepy - when you run it through Google Translate and see how the same words, phrases, and twisted logic pop up between Trump's maggots and the goons who ran (and wrecked) my country for the better part of a decade.

I swear, anything these people promise, you can bet your life they'll do the complete opposite. And it is so predictable, it's almost comedic. This is your right-wing-"if we were the one doing communism, things would be different..."-moment.

Make a wish-list, and stick around to watch all the bullshit unfold in front of your eyes.

And yes, of course your Democratic Party helped make this mess possible with lies, complacency and arrogance. And by being stuck-up in ways I never thought I'd see from a so-called enlightened Western institution. They really need to take a long, hard look in the mirror.

But if you people care at all about what happens in this world, you need to vote for that woman - however pathetic of a choice that may seem to be at first glance. There's just too much at stake here for the entire world.

If that punk wins, your democracy and institutions are going to be put through the wringer - and yeah, you (we) might not make it. My country almost didn't...

Even if they could see the truth of their movement, they wouldn't care because they think it can't happen here. It's layer upon layer of foolishness.

For all those who don't seem to know Trumpists, here's a taste for you.

Yeah, I don't know what country you're in, but this is what bothers me about Trumpism. It's not just raw materials and goods, it's not even just the systems and institutions. There is a collective shared ethos, a spirit, that we unconsciously rely upon every time we walk into a library, a post office, a courthouse or a state building. Every time we watch the fireworks on July 4th, or participate in elections. It's ephemeral, and it was developed through the collective shared history of the people of this country. And even having this jackass as a credible candidate for a major party cheapens that. It's not both sides man, it's just not, if you can't see that I don't know what to tell you. There was a big difference between your John McCains and Mitt Romneys, and this guy. People fought and died for this country, regardless of how cynical we are about it now. 12 generations of Americans lived through something like 14 billion manyears to deliver the country I was born into. They invented technology and social systems, fought wars and upheld principles. And by the time I was born, they'd perfected a standard of living the richest kings of yesteryear would have envied.

Literally the only way we can fuck it up is by destroying ourselves. Over what? The number at the supermarket went up? Well I don't know where you've been but the number on my paycheck went waaaay up too. I made $7.15 an hour my first job. Now I see Panda Express paying $22/hr to start. It's hard to believe it all comes down to a matter of vibes within something called the "manosphere."

its very interesting to see Trump is willing to do long form podcasts and Harris is not. Eitherway I wouldn't feel entirely comfortable voting for either one.

Kamala has done so many podcasts. To say nothing of all the media appearances she's made in the MSM that Trump was too chickenshit to show up for.

Kamala Harris - Courageous Leadership and Winning - Brene Brown

Kamala Harris on Club Shay Shay

Kamala Harris - Bret Baier Podcast

Kamala Harris - All the Smoke Podcast

Kamala Harris - Call Her Daddy Podcast

You are not voting at all?

I’m a dual citizen of USA and Germany and I live outside the USA and am registered in a blue state there. It’s not a top priority for me now to register and go do this. It’s also the reason I’m not going to complain about who wins. If I don’t vote I can’t complain about the election. But I’m sharing my thoughts still on what’s happening. I’ve grown to reevaluate that just because someone lacks vision and is “less toxic” it means they are better. I’m not entirely sold on that anymore. It’s hard to see either candidate as noticeable worse from a big picture perspective I try to live from. I would vote Harris if I was in a swing state but I don’t see myself as really relating much at all to the current Dem platform, it’s pretty bad.

Look, it's easy to pick on the weak people yapping online. The problem lies in the centrists and intellectuals who got fooled into that cult.

I'm having a massive deja vu right now. I heard the exact same bullshit 10 years ago before the key elections that put that deranged gang behind the steering wheel of my country.

Arguments - yes, all reasonably sounding - coming from my close friends, some of my family members, switched on intelligent people, even many of my professors at uni (who fucking lectured history and should've known better - sic!). Hours spent talking how the "new government will put this country right". And how the "outsiders need to do this shakedown". Same shit about "arogant elites" and "corrupt institutions" blablabla. And what happened to all those intelligent, modest, educated voices?

Here's the Denial Timeline from my case that you will observe from people like Rogan and Peterson and their followers in coming years:

2014: yes we all vote for the right-wingers who "will get us out of this mess"

2015: yes! we won!

2016: eeee wut?

2017: no, can't be - are these the same people we voted in?

2018: me? nah... I didn't vote for these people!

2019: no way, I never supported that shit

2020: who voted them in? not me!

2021: people who support that party are insane!

2022: this horrific party has to be stopped at all costs!

2023: (election year) "Voter turnout was 75%, the highest in contested elections and the highest since the fall of the communists"

Gangoons lost by a landslide and the country is slowly getting out of the gutter.

All my friends and family that voted them in are now in deep denial pretending they have no idea how "these people got in the first place" 🤷‍♂️

---

Before 2015 you could catch some cu** defrauding milions here and there. But the party that came after with a slogan to clean it all up brought about the level of corruption and destruction of institutions in the upwards of tens of billions of euros. And new fraud cases are popping up every day. This will take decades to clean up.

So there you have it: a strong leader, an outsider who carried christian cross with faith and religious values. With his chest puffed up and back straight. The father figure coming to save families and bring prosperity.

And where is he now? Where's the daddy?

A demented pathetic loser, foaming at his mouth in some obscurity while two or more generations will work as slaves to get the country out of debt.

Same old, same old...

I'm not picking on them and these aren't just people yapping online. These are literally my nextdoor neighbors. I shared it because I get the sense that most people don't actually truly know the mind of MAGA. They might only see it online and then think they know something about it.

I'm not sure how much centrists are evaluating reality for truth. I suspect the majority of them desire harmony over truth. There's a reason why solid reason is rejected, and it's not because they just reasoned wrong.

I'm glad your country is finally on the right path. If Trump wins, I suspect we'll go through something very similar, and if we make it out with democracy intact, of course those who ushered it all in will go into denial.

Ok, so fair enough. Talk to them in 2-3 year time - you'll have a great case of denial to study and learn from.

And if that retired clown wins it will have entirely different consequences for the world. My country is way smaller, not that important globally and... we don't have nuclear weapons.

YouTube hiding a video that got 37 million views in 3 days is astounding to me. I did not even watch the video but wanted to check the view count, but it was nowhere to be seen.

This should be number one on trending to be frank.

It's interesting how you see that Rogan is the diva here.

If I was Vice president, running for the president of the god damn USA, with not much time left, and doing badly on every poll, I would do everything I can to to make as many appearances as possible to try to get as many voters on my side before the election starts.

She's really just sabotaging herself. A person wonders how she can make so many wrong decisions.

Years ago this forum was a place to me to find quality posts and a leveled debate, but I see everyone's gone downhill. It's now an echo chamber.

He didn't resolve border issues? At least there were 10-15 million less illegals, many criminals in America then.

Economy was booming, inflation was under control...

1. PRO Free speech / First amendment. By contrast, the dems want to censor whoever they don't like (which they already were doing before Musk bought twitter)

2. Pro bitcoin. If a politician is against inflation-proof store of value and is favoring the bankers that will steal your money slowly through inflation hoping you won't notice, I'm not voting for them.

3. Lower (income) taxes. When is that ever a bad thing? Kamala is floating all kinds of ideas on increasing taxes and taxing unrealized profits. Is she crazy? No, just shallow.

4. Decrease size of and make government more efficient. Why would I vote for a party that wants to increase taxes (to sustain an inefficient too large government)?

5. A more sane approach to the newest gender ideology. Offering sex changes to illegal migrants in prison? Yeah... I don't think this is the highest priority.

All the fear mongering lies spread by the left on Trump's crazy ideas, are not worth mentioning...

- project 2025 - Trump has dissociated himself from it multiple times.

- Federal ban on abortions - will not happen, and Trump has said that multiple times

- Trump is as bad as / worse than Hitler... yeah, alright....

1. Hes pro free speech for his side, he regularly threatens journalists, says networks should have their licenses taken away because of unfavourable coverage toward him. Violence against journalists has increased because of his rhetoric. If you said something negative about maga in a maga space, youd get an army of magans coming for you, in a lot of cases doxing you. This can happen on the left of course but youre making the claim Trump is pro free speech

2. Trump doesnt care about bitcoin, he trashed it previously but the change in stance is because he knows some people will vote just because of a pro-bitcoin stance - "“A lot of these people consider themselves single-issue voters,” said tech writer Jacob Silverman, author of the best-selling book “Easy Money: Cryptocurrency, Casino Capitalism, and the Golden Age of Fraud.” “If Trump or anyone else says they’re pro-bitcoin, that matters to them.”

3. His tax cuts only really benefitted the rich, not majority of citizens

4. He wants to decrease government to have more control over it, this is why he only hires loyalists and his family. This is typical dictator behaviour

5. Again he knows his base are hyped up about the trans issue and so to appeal to them he uses trans a scapegoat - “Kamala is for they/them,” each ad concludes. “President Trump is for you.” (whos the you?)

-Project 2025 all his previous and some current campaign staff are working on project 2025. It's aligned to christian nationalism, they heavily support and back trump and are able to get him to enact their policies. So even if hes not attached to project 2025, he will be enacting their ideologies.

- federal ban probably wont happen, but obviously repealing roe vs wade was a step that could set a foundation for it. Even so I agree, I would be surprised if it happened

- He may not be as bad as Hitler in that he doesnt appear to be trying to commit genocide, but a lot of his strategies and rhetoric are very similar. For example 'make america great again' is basically the same rhetoric Hitler used in Germany to rise to power. Scapegoating immigrants, saying theyre all criminals etc Trump said 'we shouldnt poison american blood' or something along those lines. He constantly fear mongers and presents himself as the only solution, this is something Hitler did. I think when people think of Hitler they think of the war and the genocide, Hitler was basically a lesson in  what could happen if facism takes hold of a powerful country and was why the democratic process was reinforced so that another dictator would not be able to rise up. Trump has a lot of hallmarks of a dictator, however I'm not sure he would go as far as Hitler but still why would you give anyone that kind of power or let them have that power.
