Today my phone called a dead friend

It was weird.

I was laying on my bed, listening to a non duality talk, kind of contemplating the fear of death.

And exactly in that moment my iphone randomly called a friend who passed about two years ago, the number isn’t active it said.

It‘s weird because my phone has never randomly called anybody usually, i don’t remember it ever doing it.

Just weird randomness.

Nothing need be said. My post was a bit of an exaggeration, but still, life is amazing, but weird.

Yea it’s weird. Do you remember having that feeling that it’s weird as a kid? I wonder if it’s just a part of the feeling of separation.

It's only since I've become more aware and noticing more things. No, I think the feeling and illusion of separation, makes for it to appear less weird. Everything, everywhere all at once is what's really the case. Imagine our brains computing that. We'd all be mad. Things are only appearing normal, when in actuality it's all illogical and chaotic. It's brilliant - the mechanisms for what allows us to keep the sanity and have a life. It's all construction.

Yea maybe it’s as the sense of self gets wobblier so does every "thing" else. Makes you feel more empathetic towards schizophrenics etc.

My logical brain always tells me that most of this stuff is coincidence, but when I reflect these "coincidences" happen so frequently, it makes you wonder whether there's something more.

I think i’m too sceptical for that.

But what’s also wild i dreamt that the friend would die before he did. I even wrote about that dream in someone elses dream thread here on the forum whike he was still alive, a few months after that post he was "dead". Thread is probably still findable.
The friend once had cancer (stomach) when he was like 24 though so it there was always a cloud and not out of the blue. But he was doing fine again and with about 35 he passed from cancer coming back again.

Yea it’s not always a good thing the scepticism. But whatever it is what it is.

What do you mean, sceptical? The only way I could possibly look at that sentence in any reasonable way is to think that you’re just purposely close minded for your own detriment. 
 

what is the possibility that your phone could just randomly call a friend? You have to investigate this if you can’t see anything that is reasonable reason to randomly call a number then the reason could be paranormal.

 

It’s unreasonable and not sceptical, but just close minded to think the other way if the evidence is really pointing towards it.
 

Be careful in thinking that you are sceptical when in reality you’re just arrogant.

I seemingly don’t believe in free will anyway. So nothing i could do about it really.

Your sceptical to point where it’s a detriment to life and you don’t believe in free will in a way which it’s a detriment to your life. 
 

If you want yourself to live in pain, then just do it. I’m not gonna stop you. 
 

If you want to live happier life, then it starts off by admitting know nothing.
