Beautifully described. 
Syria is a very diverse country and is a melting pot of different cultures. 
the Druze people who live predominantly is south Syria began their own uprising last year against the regime and Iran.

I once saw a documentary about a family in Syria trying to flee and survive a long time ago.

Don’t remember the name but it brought a tear to my eye i think in the end the died.
