How to enter a meditative state in 5-10 minutes

Hey, I stopped meditating for a while and am getting back into it. I wanted to share a technique that consistently gets me in a state with a lower rate of thoughts and more clear and pleasant sense of sight, touch and sound. I am not sure if it will work for everyone but it works for me. You can take inspiration from it and do it in your own way if you want.

What you will be doing is focusing on 6 of your chakras starting from your third eye down to your root chakra. You might need to look up all the locations but I will describe them here a bit:

-Third eye, a bit above the spot between your eyebrows

-Throat, at your Adams apple

-Heart, in the middle of your chest by your heart

-Solar plexus, around 1-2 inches above your belly button

-Sacral, by your pubic bone

-Root, between your anus and groin 

What you do is at a time of around 2 heart beats place your attention on the third eye then move down to the throat for 2 heartbeats and so on until you get to the root chakra. Then go up your spine in the spots that line up with the chakra for 2 heartbeats each, the base of the spine being the root chakra and the top of the spinal cord being the third eye. 

It will take a bit of practice to be able to put your attention in those spots accurately and quickly. you can go a bit slower if you need to but try to go at a decent pace.

When you get to the top of your spinal cord then go back you your third eye and lengthen the amount of time you stay at each point. every cycle will get slower and slower. when it gets slow enough you can use a breath's length of time then slow down the breath or do 2 breaths of time at each point. Gradually slowing the pace will slow your mind as well and you will generally slip into a meditative state at this point. 

From this point it is up to you what you want to do in this state. You can do another meditation technique if you want or just sit and enjoy how you are feeling. Good luck. If it works for you then let me know. If it doesn't work for you then let me know.
