Is it even possible to boot strap yourself from nothing?

In Leo's guerilla business advice video (https://www.actualized.org/insights/guerilla-business-advice), he talked about how if someone watches and reads too much left wing political content, then they will be thoroughly convinced that it is impossible to boot strap themselves.

I'm kind of in that rut now. I'm trying to boot strap myself but I have so much limiting beliefs. That I'm not smart enough, that the capitalist economy is sabotaging me, etc...

My greatest feeling that I'm not smart enough to know computer programming, and that I'm a loser who hates myself and my own life. I feel as if my IQ is not great enough, given my academic dysfunctions. Sure, left wing content did a number of my self-esteem, but my insecurities about my academics and IQ are my biggest inhibitor

Is it possible to bootstrap myself? What about Capitalism? Even Leo himself alluded to this in his theory on escaping wage slavery, as well as his video response to the founder of Whole Foods. That society is a pyramid scheme where those on the top of the structure leach from those at the bottom, and the successful Capitalist countries are only successful because they leach value from the poorer countries, such as in the case of the CFA Franc system. The reasons as to why most people are poor, according to Leo, is because they don't have enough capital to bootstrap themselves. And even if they do have the capital, they're so squeezed for time as a result of the 9-5 system, that at the end of the day after work, all they want to do is sit on the couch and watch television.

I want to learn computer programming, and leverage that into a career or even a business centered around my passions, but all of my friends think I'm retarded and that this will never work. Your thoughts? Will capitalism or my low IQ prevent me from achieving this?

Go into right wing twitter circles. Work out in the gym. Put yourself in uncomfortable places. Yes they are retards, but they have plenty of stuff where you could learn valuable shit. 

It could help you where you are. That's all I will say. But you being unstable might swing the other direction is my only concern. You need to put yourself out there which is the jist of being young and wild.

Just start scouring the internet. You'll find more than enough stuff to do research and educate yourself. But you have to have a lot of free time to do that.

I would suggest you get enrolled in a program to learn computer programming, which I'm sure you can find on the internet. In that way, you'll connect with people before even getting a job. When you successfully finish it, you will be referred to some companies, I think.

You basically need a job that can help fulfill your basic needs for the beginning.

@Husseinisdoingfine You display a behaviour of learned helplessness. It seems to me you have the wrong attitude towards life and yourself, hence it is not a problem out there, an actual limitation, but rather the workings of your own mind. You have the potential to do what you want, you are capable of it, the possibilities certainly exist. Focus on what you want to create in your life, be creative, then work towards it consistently till it happens. Don't fall into self-doubt or self-hatred not even in self-denying what you truly want out of life. With a patient and perseverant spirit go on working everyday to achieve your goals. This is how everyone else does it in the world, the secret is will, sooner or later it'll have to be granted to me. This is the attitude to be taken.

I think it’s important to realise that left-wing people sometimes have thought that taking it easy and relaxing is the way to live life. But actually that creates huge mental problems once they can realise that they will be on track to developing themselves just as the right wing would.
 

I would argue a lot better because it’s easy to transition to stage green and then easy to transition to genuine spirituality.

Society does need to improve and be more fair but it does not mean that you are helpless. What are your top skills in life? Learning programming is great and I'd recommend it but what do you envision afterwards? Is your business idea something that could be started on with $300 to a coder on Fiverr? I would highly recommend joining an entrepreneurship/business community or mastermind so the entrepreneurial mindset slowly bleeds into yours.

Entrepreneurs make stuff happen out of thin air. The general public complains that the world isn't fair while not doing anything on a daily basis to improve their own lives as well as the lives of their communities.

the mind is plastic, if you dont use it to develop skills its wasted, the paradox of intelligence makes it stupid if you wanna quantify intelligence because you can develop intelligence and it can increase or desecrate based on your aging life style learning habit mental habit workout or lack of it

I was born in county where there is not much electricity yet i worked for the US, am i smart in some field yes and others not really i have so much limitations and i always try to work around them or try to decease them, relative to my strategic intent

It is, assuming you have decent health and of sound mind.

Bootstrapping doesn't mean you will succeed in your initial ideas. Your ideas and goals may need changing. You gotta discover your niche in life. Bootstrapping involves a lot of failure before you succeed.

First of all, you are in a downward spiral, and that's ok. 

Understand that when you feel like life is amazing, all of the limiting beliefs start to melt away. It's a giant feedback loop, but you have to initiate that loop, whether it's through inner work or material success.

As a computer programmer, my advice is this: give it a real shot for at least a year. Commit to not quitting for at least that long.

Yes and no depends.. I say that because sometimes just based on your appearance (like ethnic or gender) you could lose out on better paying jobs. Some guy pouring beer at a nice bar can make quite a bit of money if he was able to get and keep that job, that's a pretty nice "bootstrapping" kind of job to save some money but def not everyone can get, they tend to be nice looking sociable people.. but again you can always try.

You should try to find nice people if you can... If you are lucky to find any they can make a big difference in your work life potentially. If you find the right connection or mentor or partnership(s), that can change your life. But there's nothing guaranteeing this. I'd say raising your state of consciousness can help with this quite a bit too since like would attract like. A nice person who would be in a position to mentor will not just take anyone too.

yes no one denies there are such cases, however for every such case there are also many cases of people working their butt off and barely paying their bills and risking becoming evicted, as well as suicides or MAIDs (medical assistance in dying) that are not due to chronic, severe, untreatable illness.
