Which is the best YouTube video downloader?

yt1s is good but it redirects to other sites.

This is fishy. There are many named similar to yt1s , y2meta, etc. All of them have nearly the same interface. They redirect to fishy sites. All are controlled by the same group maybe.

@Genius100x It's tedious because the best sites get blocked from time to time. A very popular web is https://es.savefrom.net/260nr/

It has a nice feature. Let's say we have the following video

You can change the link adding SS before YouTube and it will direct you to its download web directly.

I just found this on Android - YTDLnis. One of the only ones I found to be able to easily convert even lengthy videos (3+ hours) on youtube.

On desktop (Windows) I used to use IDM (Internet Download Manager - although it has a 30 day trial). I see a lot of recommendations for YT-DLP (it is a command-line based software, but there are supposedly GUI versions as well). Y2Mate is often recommended too, avoiding the hassle of downloading software let alone tinkering with CMD.

I knew. But it's also fishy. First It's not opening. And then there are so many "savefrom" sites that makes it suspicious.

My intuition says y2mate is fishy. 

Yt... , y2.... Are fishy. They belong to the same group maybe.

I recommend you use IDM.

The website I shared offers much more than just YouTube Downloaders.

Also, If you are going to stop finding stuff because it seems "fishy" to you, then you won't find anything.

Get your hand dirty Comrade, I used youtube_dl now its called yt_dlp its a command line utility works on wiondows or linux i use it on linux it can download almost any video from the internet, it works on carious site like the phub i only used it with youtube since its 95% of where videos are found but i also tested it with few other sites

The advantage of it that you can select any format you want or resolution unless its behind paywall

Now usage is super simple you have

To list Formats
yt-dlp -F <videolink>
To select desired audio video format
yt-dlp -f 609+139 <videolink>

This tool include futures like downloading entire YouTube channels, downloading entire playlist, Resuming download, downloading only thumbnails or only transcript, its feature rich utility
