Yes, but the point I am making is that the mainstream has been given Trump an incredible pass. They are treating this as though it was an ordinary election. The mainstream media is still not doing nearly enough to sound off the alarm on this.

They instead devoted so much more time and energy to talk about Biden's age related issues.

CNN, NBC, PBS, ABC, CBS, and every other "trusted news source" out there should all really be ashamed of themselves.

Guys, maybe the new normal election is having an incredulous closed minded boomer ranting about the good old days. Maybe it’s not new but these sentiments were always here and just recently got emboldened? I think a majority of the country was always running on fear and never had appreciation for democracy. It just took the right amount of economic instability and a certain politician gifted at campaigning and blaming to exploit that.

It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. If mainstream media reports on McDonald's decline, this reinforces the narrative that mainstream media is just out to get him. If mainstream media doesn't, you get what we have now. I'm just not sure why they chose the latter. Any ideas?

He's running on a story that his own vice president later admitted was false.

He's blaming immigrants for economic problems, even though many issues were caused by his policies, like corporate tax cuts and deregulation.

He's running on a border problem that could have been fixed by a bill he blocked.

He's running on inflation mostly caused by COVID shutdowns, even though the U.S. has managed inflation better than most other countries.
