North Korea's Brutality

@Bobby_2021, after reading the AI responses that I provided, are you going to continue to blame what NK is doing to its people on the West?

These atrocities are extensively documented through:

1. Direct Evidence:

  • Survivor testimonies
  • Defector accounts (including camp guards and officials)
  • UN investigations
  • Medical examinations of escapees
  • Satellite imagery of camps
  • Smuggled photos/videos
  • Official DPRK documents
  • Forensic evidence
  • DNA testing
  • Psychological assessments

2. Independent Verification:

  • Multiple organizations confirm findings
  • Cross-referenced testimonies
  • Medical evidence matches accounts
  • Satellite data confirms locations
  • International investigations
  • Academic research
  • Intelligence reports
  • NGO documentation
  • Consistent patterns across decades
  • Multiple source confirmation

The brutality of the North Korean system is one of the most thoroughly documented human rights situations. While some claims need more verification, the core facts about systematic abuse are well-established through multiple credible sources.

- Comprehensive sanctions typically reduce GDP by 1-5% annually

Sanction was more cribbing than that on Syria i think, but the the regime did a great job elimination any competition or big private enterprise , and creating a state own business that literally inslave people financially "they have easy monopoly and no one can compete with what they do", and only allowing few actors that kiss the regime ass to grow a bit powerful, probably the regime did much more harm to the economy than sanction x d,

You have not a single example of Communist regime success. Zero. That should be a clue.

What about Yugoslavia under Tito’s regime?

I asked Claude to give a more in-depth response, but it refused. ChatGPT didn't shy away.

Have you read torture methods by the CIA? Psychological torture methods at that even?

Every nation state does kind of stuff.

My response is still the same.

Put things in perspective.

NK has to do horrible things to survive because the US has bombed all infrastructure that facilitate means of honest living.

You will resort to heightened levels of corruption if your house is bombed and family is destroyed.

Of course there will be corruption and dark stuff. But it's not like these doesn't happen in the west too.

@Bobby_2021 There are houses in North Korea.... There are Cities...

How can North Korea Thrive when it struggles to do business with most other countries?

Modern China has what's often called a "state capitalist" or "socialist market economy" system - a hybrid model that combines elements of both capitalism and socialism. Here's why it's complex:

Capitalist elements:

- Private businesses exist and can operate for profit

- Market competition in many sectors

- Foreign investment is permitted

- Individuals can accumulate wealth

Socialist/state-controlled elements:

- Major industries remain state-owned

- The Communist Party maintains strong economic control

- Government heavily intervenes in markets

- State banks dominate the financial sector

- Land ultimately belongs to the state

So while China has embraced many capitalist mechanisms since its market reforms in 1978, it doesn't fit the pure definition of capitalism. The state maintains a level of control that would be unusual in traditionally capitalist economies like the United States or Western Europe. Economists often describe it as a distinct economic model rather than purely capitalist or socialist.

It would be inaccurate to refer to China as capitalist.

Towards its people and on a national scale exactly like what NK does?

It doesn't have to be the unnecessary dark stuff.

Are they focusing on being less corrupt?

NK doesn't do that on a national scale.

I am sure they have something similar to black rooms and Guantanamo bay.

Within their limited means.

Through integration with Russia + BRICS. I don't see any other way they can thrive.

The west has thrown them under the bus. BRICS will give them a second chance.

It's not like the 90s anymore. NK can look upto more countries other than the collective west to do business with.

@Bobby_2021

You should read the North Korea book on my book list. It's truly an awful place. One of the worst places on Earth.

Defending this system with false equivalence does not speak well of your worldview.

Because it has went through awful history.

Defending a (questionable) genocide and the worst bombing campaign in history doesn't look well on you either.

That wasn't a genocide, it was a classic war. And it is irrelevant to the fundamental flaws of Marxism.

That awful history was 70 years ago. Time to move on. The rest of the world did.

I wish the world moved on really to be frank. The post war sanctions enacted are still in place to this day.

Maybe we could really move on and lift sanctions like we did to Vietnam.

But whatever.

Hard to do that when fatman is brandishing his nukes and runs a total dictatorship.

North Korea does some nasty cyber hacking and theft. You wanna feed that machine money?

Cuba I agree to remove sanctions. Cuba is harmless.

The North Korean collective psyche has been harmed so much by the devastating bombings that they need nukes to make sure it doesn't happen again.

It's an aggressive self defence posturing.

You should have some sympathy to understand the North Korean hive mind instead of casting them as some evil villan.

If you think any country at all would dare harm the US, you are out of your mind.

The actual threat for the US is not existential, it's ideological.

They can't allow a leftist, or even worse, a communist success story. This is why they violently suppress every leftist uprising every single continent of the world in true neocolonial fashion.

Coups, bombings, regime change operations, propaganda, psyops, you name it.

Even Cuba is an ideological threat to them.

@Bobby_2021 You are the type to get eaten by the starved lion for thinking you can help. A communist dictatorship will break you. Kim Jong Un doesn't need your sympathy.
