Does anyone use tools for personal development?

1 post in this topic

Wondering what tools people use -- physical (such as heart-monitors, health applications, etc) or conceptual models  (like doing SWOT analysis on yourself)

I wanted to share about this biofeedback device I use, in hopes other people use cool stuff to hear about.

Emwave2 by Heartmath :
This self-empowering technology uses heart rhythm feedback to tell you when you’re on the right track. A quick and easy 3-5 minute session a few times a day is enough to make a meaningful difference.

Learn how to synchronize your heart, mind, and body to reset your composure and inner clarity, calm reactive emotions, and neutralize stress. This creates an inner state called coherence.

I swear by the EmWave2... Dave Asprey said it was the best biofeedback under $1000 (for like 300?)... Ive had mine stolen and bought a new one and would still pay another $300 for a 3rd one. They are GAME-CHANGING like priceless insights for $1000 is UNBEATABLE

Anyways, I dont make money off this - I just love it , use it, brag about it

What I've noticed off this - is how all thoughts are filtered through emotional lense (negative/neutral/positive) and we live most of our lives in the category below where we think we are... (if I'm say I'm okay, I'm really in the negative)

Any act of mental effort (trying to turn the light green) or voce narrating in my head = negative state

To go into the positive (which feels like a 20%++ increase in clarity of mind) I have to go into Flow-State + Positive (Attitude of Gratitude) which turns on the Parasympathetic (Rest and Relax nervous system) which is basically Zen from Zen meditation (its the higher state, dont let the Zen community bullshit you)

Whenever I switch states- I notice any feelings of muscle fatigue instantly vanish , any criticisms/being annoyed vanish (why was I even complainining 30 seconds ago?? Ive asked myself)

I can induce this state without the device, like with the mantra "I Can do this all day , this is easy" (Effortless-Process-orientation) and shifting energy into my left hemisphere the pre-frontal cortex (which is like where the happiness center is suppose to be)

-------------

Anyone else using any tools. I doubt anyone else uses biofeedback - but would love to hear about some relevant stuff from you guys , the community!
