Like you said, 'they play because there is no choice' - doesn't that confirm the initial point which is that people don't have a democratic choice with regards to corporate dominance or national security? Corporate dominance is the status quo, neither party is challenging it, but both sides think they are.

MAGA thinks their draining the swamp, but their just changing who sits in it. Dems don't realise their even in one, let alone that it needs draining. This doesn't mean socio-cultural issues aren't important and to not be voted on. But just to have a realistic view on what voting does or doesn't do.

 

 

If you are a U.S. citizen vote Harris/Walz, if you want to see the beginning of a turnaround.  The corporatists and the right hold power, using the toolset they call the rank-and-file.  The tools only see the world in black and white and if it ain't white it ain't good.  That is all the powers that be require to own the world.  If people could get beyond their psychic blindness they would recognize what they have done to themselves.  It boggles the brain to see how self-destructive the right is.  Dare, I say extinction-bound.

The left has to play the game now because if they chose not to do so, anything they can scrimp for the common folk would trickle and dry up in short order.  The Hegelian Dialectic is the benevolent and true master of social existence.  One simply has to follow the rules but the threatened subspecies is fearful past mania to leave anything to chance.
