Ever since the 1990s the Republican party has become increasingly more anti-immigration. 

The last time real comprehensive immigration reform and border security was ever passed into law was either in 1986 under Reagan or 1990 under George HW Bush.

Perhaps, but Dems are caught in a catch-22. Ripping into him for daring to question is exactly what his post is about, while he's also making the point that he's being met with the opposite attitude from the right. By continuing to advance that predictable pattern, he'll be pushed rightward even quicker. At least in terms of allegiance if not policy.

Why are you so averse to admitting Elon could do some good? Whatever his faults I don’t think he wants war or to break human rights. Cent is right, letting contractors with financial motivation dictate military policy is insane, if Donald Trumps admin will hear it out that is a good thing. 

the people normally in charge are responsible for dozens of coups, proxy wars, and openly spying on Americans. The cia, NSA, and military industrial complex are insane monsters.

If there’s a chance people like Tusli, Elon, and Gaetz can have something like the church committee hearings again it would help the country a lot by finally reigning in the deep state.

All these people are ignorant, corrupt buffoons. I am not making any deals with them and I am not going to give them any benefit of the doubt or ground.

It is like you are trying to compromise with Hitler. This fundamentally misunderstands the kind of people you are dealing with.

The purpose of the US electoral system is supposed to be that benefiting the people serves the politicians interest which encourages them to do so. The politician benefits by winning elections, the voters decide if they win, therefore they benefit from making voters benefit to get re-elected. 

They won and are in power, why is that a reason to just give up rather than to pressure them to make positive changes exactly? If they do it the country benefits, if they don’t than you still benefit because you can now point out to the public how you tried to help but they stopped you.

When trump asked for funding for vaccine research during COVID in operation warp speed should the democrats have just said “no we aren’t helping you because you’re evil” and voted against it? No. They recognized it was in their interest to cooperate.

It’s good to get them on the record making promises because either they do it or you now have something to wave at them and damage their support.
