I don't know why, maybe its just my desire to see the world burn. But I was incredibly happy to see president Trump win when I woke up on Tuesday. It is going to be an entertaining four years.

My point is once Trump has been elected you have to respect the decision of the people not just think oh they are stupid for voting Trump.

One of the mistakes that leftist intellectuals make is they simply think that conservatives are fundamentally stupid.

If you're a working class straight white male and you're constantly told you're the scum of the earth by the left then there's no way in hell you're going to vote for them.

Not sure this is accurate, I haven’t seen any narratives from the progressive left that working class white men are scum. If anything, that is a narrative projected by MAGA/far right onto immigrants, globalists elites, academics and trans people.

This is why so many liberals were taken by surprise by this election result. No exposure to right wing talking points and cocooning themselves in left wing echo chamber away from the pulse of society. See my reply below regarding stage green for example:

We try to do conscious politics here. Analyze more from a meta perspective, having worked on understanding the mind, without getting lost in ideologies. That, in my mind, is our goal on this subforum.

Letting in low-quality political takes (uneducated, self-biased, conspiratorial, etc.) does not help that goal at all. It only muddies the water.

It’s like throwing a grenade into a crowd. People will lose it, but it’s hard to resist the explosion.

The end of separation is the end of desire. It’s life, it’s death, it’s unity; it is the absolute. In this profound realization, we find perfection eternal, a state of everlasting harmony.

A sizable percentage of Americans wish *they* could get away with the crimes trump committed.

Not as bad as Kamal. I don’t buy that.

Polls underestimated Trump now, Biden dropped out because polls said Trump would landslide him. That very likely was also an underestimation.

Also, it’s not like these values in a “higher stage” weren’t available to humanity before or aren’t even being lived out by people right now across the political aisle or border. Indigenous people were living out green values in harmony with the earth before we had pronouns or became vegan. The conservative old church lady probably bakes cookies for her neighbours in rural America whilst a liberal Karen who has “Kindness is everything” as her bio shouts at the barista for getting her coffee order wrong.

But this paragraph here shows that you don’t understand the model. It’s very new that people are living Green values in mass. Green about expecting all humanity all races all colors all backgrounds. IT IS higher than expecting your tribe or your church community whom are all your own color. These too examples will have a hard time expecting any other which is what trump followers represent.

if you were told to work at a store when you are working in an office you’d be pissed. Nothing is wrong about working in a store but you have the right to be pissed.

This doesn't mean that they shouldn't vote but there needs to be some kind of education around this, otherwise manipulation is always going to happen from either side because the rewards are so great. If Trump says tarriffs will solve everything for those that don't know all it means is everything will get more expensive or won't even make sense to import. I don't believe if people are worried about things getting more expensive that they would vote in an idea that makes things more expensive.

Deeply betrayed people will believe anything a devil will tell them. They think Trump is telling the truth and everyone else lies. Trump has no problem abusing these people.

Such politicians basically don't exist.

You can only pick from actual candidates.

Gavin Newsom is like the strongest candidate Dems got right now. And still progressives hate on him.

Gavin Newsom is absolutely despised in the entire country. It isn’t just progressives.

What will it take for you to stop blaming progressives for everything?

Hillary, Biden, and Kamala were not progressive and cared little about what progressives thought, how on earth is their failures the fault of progressives?

Here is the house of representatives race as of now.

jHKvSTj.png

Do you think the Republicans will have a majority? It looks really close but has yet to be called for either party. In my district for example, MD-06, its a 50% / 50% split race between the two candidates.

Seems like a safe bet after everything we've just seen.

No sugarcoats, Kamala failed miserably, Trump has won everything. The Democratic party has to reflect on it, and so the people in the left spectrum in general.

No sugarcoats for Trump either, he showed he is a fascist in 2020, literally trying a coup to get the government for himself. That he didn't succeed doesn't exonerate him from his intentions. His followers asking to hung his own VP, he didn't say a word about that, and so on. His rhetoric is fascist to the letter and so is project 2025 which he'll follow. Shame on his voters too, some of them for being like Trump, others for being fools, because is not going to work for their well-being and interest. Shame on the ones that couldn't get their asses up to vote for the alternative of this conman, even if she wasn't the perfect candidate they wanted, and stayed at home.

The best case scenario now is he'll break the economy and rig the system so it stays rightwing in perpetuity. At least he is old, so he'll have to retire, or he may even die soon, who knows. He can fuck up a lot internationally too, that would be the worst case, because the world is tired of US imperialism and its spreading of wars, so it got prepared, and things can escalate fast.

He won more red voters in blue states than any other republican candidates before. People probably voted for him on the bases of him being Republican/conservative the kind that would shut the borders and keep things where it’s at, dismissing or downplaying MAGA’s threat. Which shows that people  don’t stope to think/understand the nature of the beast.

Some leftists will literally openly say they hate white men, others will imply it in devious ways.

The problem is that leftists demonise the majority population whilst the right demonise the minority, that's just maths when it comes to voting numbers.

I think the trump win is definitely a reflection of a deeper issue in society but I also think its at least a bit of benevolence that people simply aren't able to see through all of trumps facade. The problem is that Trump is a master in manipulation. He is not just blunt, he can be charming, charismatic and sneaky.

What Jeffrey Epstein said about Trump: "He could go over to a fat ugly women and say that she is the most beautiful person on earth."

The Joe Roan podcast is a good example of this. I listened to it. Trump actually sounded nice and reasonable. I dont think Joe Rogan was able to see through all of Trumps facade and I had to remind myself constantly of all the crimes he did as well to stay grounded.

But some of the people that support him like Joe Rogan have way more integrity. When they fully realize who trump is they will call him out for it I think. Of course a lot of shit will have happened until then but there will be a new beginning after trump.

The fact that Harris only won 50% in New York, and only 57% in California of all places really shows just how disastrous this race was.

I think it’s more nuanced than that. Political demonization and identity politics disrupt all meaningful discourse on both sides. But I’d argue this has been an ongoing strategy that Repubs and the far right have used to distract voters from real issues, policy proposals that would help working class people.

It’s a false populism with corporate and oligarchic power dynamics. It’s worked effectively so far with us being where we are today.

The more you harass people, especially young people, with anti-racist, cosmopolitan, socialist and feminist propaganda, the more you deny their energetic wholeness and give pulsional force to the opposite polarity.
This is especially true in a time when people are more isolated and passive than ever because of comfort.
People like Trump because he is an archetype of self-love; he is Bawdy, enterprising, friendly, "patriotic", pro-security, anti-immigration, anti "woke propaganda" etcetc.
We can think it's a depraved persona or whatever, but the fact is that he would not have won if he was not the solution to an energetic equation that is playing out on a large scale.

If the Democrats would water down their wine, people wouldn't have had to vote for such a person.
