@Inliytened1 You fundamentally misunderstand Trump's character, his intentions, and his administration. It's all a con. It's not about helping anyone but his ego.

You have chosen corruption thinking it will help you. Not intelligent. It's like you missed the whole point of our work here. Now the Devil will collect his due.

If your child gets poisoned by some toxic yogurt thanks to deregulation then you will understand why I say the things I say. Right now you still feel like the corruption will not touch you. You feel like you can make a pact with the Devil and win. That's very short-sighted.

I wish you would wake up from your political slumber. But at this point it will only happen through some deep personal suffering in your life that reveals your short-sightedness and selfishness.

Very interesting post-election analysis on this stream, with the attendees having a similar conversation to posts here

Destiny thought Biden should have stayed in. He has not a clue what he’s talking about. If Biden stayed in the race Trump would have a Reagan level landslide.

The conversation evolves as it goes on. Destiny came in super hot at the beginning, but he starts listening to Pisco's calm analysis more and more. Pisco is the major voice of reason here, imo.

The thing about Trump is he can be easily manipulated. I think if someone clever but with good intentions got in his ear they could get him to do some good if they frame things in a way that works.

Maybe Douglas Macgregor and Judge Nap could convince Trump to meet with Jeffrey Sachs

Probably our best case scenario, and one I'm definitely hoping for.

There is a fundamental assumption that people are convinced by facts and argumentation. But the reality is that, even for social change in the past, what matters were never facts and logic, but narrative.

The one who has the more powerful narrative wins, that's just how humans work. This is how we have achieved progress in the past.

There's a degree to that in everyone.   Everyone wants to help themselves.  But I think you misunderstand that he wants good things for the nation.   Don't forget your own episode on how everyone has good intentions.

Pure nonsense.

Your politics is really low quality.

There will be a battle in trumps cabinet between the populist right with people like Steve Bannon and the neocon right with people like Mike Pompeo.

I fear the populists will handle domestic policy and the neocons foreign policy.

Ideally I’d like this reversed or the populist right in general be in control. They have extreme views on domestic issues when compared to neocons but they’re isolationist so they’d avoid trouble abroad.

You shouldn't need time to see the Devil in pain sight.

If you would be interested in learning, but I don't see that you are.

An argument could be made that "equity" was the most recent narrative of the left. For many, even the word itself inspires thoughts of suboptimal ideologies.

What would be a good replacement/adjustment narrative?

It's not even narrative. It's about who you are and how you survive.

No other explanation is deep enough.

I can already see people begging for liberalism by 2028.

@Inliytened1 How is Harris even likable? No one in her own party liked her.

Harris for real would have been insufferable. I couldn't imagine being lectured about minority rights, women's rights and democracy. She is insufferable in both looks and talks.

I would vote for someone who does things for me. It's plain and simple.

Trump offered financial benefits for everyone. So there is a appeal for Trump atleast on paper.

You can base your campaign on minority stuff given that majority are doing well and good. That was nearly not the case here.

Again, you are imagining things which I am not saying. I am not saying there will be Nazi concentration camps.

America is not Naiz Germany. This is not the 1930s. It will look very different.

I think a good idea of toxic capitalism is South Korea. Almost pure dystopia Corpo nation.

Just see the working class and rights over there. Might give a taste.

I'm not sure, it's easier to create a compelling narrative if you're a science fiction author than if you have to be grounded in reality.

I think I'd have to see him become Netanyahu before I woke up from my so called political slumber 😞    Relax.  No one is the devil.  You really have to be careful with that word. You never called Hitler the devil.  You called him love.

They better hope there's even a country left to salvage.

We had thought that Trump being voted out in 2020 was the American population waking up. Nope! One step forward, 500 steps back.

Stage Orange is a very deep stage. It can't be skipped over so easily. Most people are hung up on it.

Interesting observation, considering the right is willing to color way outside the lines right now, for better or worse. Their narratives are fun indeed.

The left should let slip that spirituality actually exists and is achievable in human consciousness. A revelation of esoteric truths. That'd catch my attention. Though I'm not sure  you'd consider that grounded in reality, lol.
