Many of them, like voters on any side, are actually quite critical of the news, even of Fox itself, and are aware of biases within it

No, I disagree.

Havent seen any evidence for this. If you have evidence , I would be curious to see it.

Think about it—most people don’t easily fit into rigid categories.

Oh yes, most people do easily  fit into certain categories. They have a cluster of beliefs that conveniently all match with a given narrative.

Enough complaining about what had gone wrong with this election. Use this opportunity to self-reflect and see the positive in all of this. Make changes in your own life NOW.

Look at your own selfishness NOW. Be the change NOW.

The dems messed up in certain ways but however much they messed up it doesn't justify voting for Trump even if you say 'he looks out for them', because truth is he doesn't, tax cuts for the rich is not looking out for them.

There is delusion if they genuinely believe in him or it's a protest vote against the establishment. If it's the second I can kinda get it but the outcome may affect those people the most.

Kamela, just like Hillary 2016 didn't even talk to her supporters waiting for her after the loss.

Her supporters were there for her but she obviously wasn't there for them. She had some guy come up on stage and send them home.

What kind of leadership quality is that? Why would anyone want a person like that in office?

She's too prideful to concede or even speak to the people waiting for her. Instead she's probably waiting until she has some some pre-written scripts for her speech ready, as usual. Shameful behaviour.

That confirms the sentiment about the Dems - that their establishment puppets who need think tank approved talking points. Hollow suits trying to dazzle crowds with their glittery rainbow flags and virtue signalling. Fake news.

This is where your argument stops? I thought a holistic guy has much substance to offer than just this?

Your intellect surely doesn't bottom out at the first pushback or question.

The answer of "I don't have any tangible evidence to show that voters anr generally not low info voters or that they have a nuanced set of beliefs" is fine as well.

@Scholar yeah these people just heard that eggs were 10 cents in the 1950s and are like "boo hoo, we want 10 cents eggs for all eternity because we are the greatest country on Earth! If we don't have that it means Joe Biden had an inflation switch that he turned on in the White House while twirling his moustache!"

Not realizing that a Trump presidency could eventually make eggs 40 dollars for example...

It's so disgusting and pathetic.

Just like Covid hurt Trump in 2020, inflation hurt Biden/Kamala in 2024.

Even though inflation was part of Covid, it was only felt during Biden's term.

Oh, that’s cute. "Holistic" doesn’t mean I’m some kind of new-age robot here to regurgitate studies and stats on demand. It means seeing things in context, acknowledging the human complexity that can’t just be boiled down to some overly simplistic view of voters as “low info.” But I get it, it’s easier to label people as "low information" than to grapple with the fact that millions of individuals make choices based on a mix of their own life experiences, values, and yes, even critical thought.

And really, if you’re expecting me to hand over tangible evidence that people aren’t mindless sheep, that’s hilarious. Maybe it’s less about voters being incapable of discerning truth and more about you wanting to see them as inferior just because they don't fit into some neat intellectual box you've crafted.

So no, my intellect doesn't "bottom out" here—I'm just not going to waste time trying to prove to you that people are more than mindless pawns in some propaganda game. That’s pretty obvious to anyone who actually cares enough to listen to people outside their own little echo chamber.

Yeah I make this point frequently, the inflation was caused by Trump.

I don't blame Trump for it, any president would have had to provide stimulus to avert a great depression, but nonetheless it had nothing to do with Biden.

@Consept yeah but the entire country is spoiled with wealth and hasn't had to deal with truly dark times so anything above 30 cent eggs is just unacceptable (add that to having a black woman president god forbid..)

I also think Biden was much more charismatic, he could stand up to Trump. Just the raw social ability to appear strong I think plays a role. The inflation and lack of charisma. 15 million difference between Biden and Kamala is insane.

Such people are delusional. As are progressives.

Progressives were right though. If Kamala ran on economic populist positions like paid family leave and housing reform, and stopped arming Israel, she would have done much better based on polling.
