In all this, I’m most disappointed by Joe Rogan, Elon Musk and Russell Brand.

I understand that a lot of America is stage blue and people will vote for the stage they resonate with and where they’re at in life.

but I thought Rogan, Musk and Brand were more psychologically evolved than to promote Trump. What were those 3 thinking? Does ‘power’ become the next ‘need’ and trap when they are super successful? Was there deals done behind the scenes? I just can’t comprehend how those somewhat stage yellow thinkers would promote Trump

It’s ok to be salty too for a while.

Accept your saltiness. Accept your anger.

Would have been nice if it was a great candidate where most people rooted for her/him but i guess it was not in the cards.

True. Some people like salt.

America lost an IQ test with 50% odds of getting it right.

For those smart enough honesty is not a virtue when appealing to low-development people, the idiot would rather get scammed and think he got a good deal than get a good deal and think he got scammed, dont treat low-consciousness people like honest ones, they won't appreciate it.

Gotta pull out the spiral wizardry and speak just above their level of development to make sense, In the same way, you won't teach your dog advanced math, you won't get too philosophical about democracy and fascism jazz with a trump supporter, they won't get it.

Well maybe they can tame Trump a bit and make him legalise psychedelics and force dmt up his anus and shrooms down his throat. But i doubt it. I wonder if Rogan will ever regret this decision.

Half siding with a fascist is a big deal.

That these elections are so close tells you everything you need to know about the American people. That is not some elite's fault or some bad luck. That's an honest signal of America's development and maturity, or lack thereof.

The rest of the western world is having its problems with far right politics coming back in play but I cant imagine a weestern european country voting in someone like Trump or getting that many votes. In the UK the closest we have is Nigel Farage who is good friends with Trump and he did run with a 3rd party and only got 4 million votes for PM, which even that people were shocked at but its like 6-7% of the vote. Also its not unusual here for 3rd parties to do really well, none have ever beaten the 2 main parties but they can still get a lot of votes and seats in parliament. But yeah it is crazy to me how so many people can vote for Trump but then also i think the dems do have some responsibility to run a strong campaign, because its more about getting people to turn out to vote. A lot of people who wouldve voted for her and didnt, probably didnt vote for Trump either

Most Americans do not even vote for fucks sake. They do not care about fascism or hyper capitalism or idealistic liberal bullshit.

They want good roads, jobs and a decent life. Trump appeals to these kinds of people, despite his policies being against their interests.

Kamala appeals to upper class college educated women and minority women, while bashing men subtly. In reality her policies are going to benefit everyone.

Bad optics. Dial down the identity politics. Most people do not give a single flying fuck about this nonsense. Most people do not vibe with identity politics. If you want to pass such policies, then have a well put together male candidate rather than some sloppy DEI hire.

Imagine if Tulsi Gabbard or Arnold Schwarzenegger or any well put together male or female were in the cards.

But you incompetently swept under the rug, the mental condition of Biden, which led to a series of events that elected Trump. At least accept that you messed up instead of blaming the people.

What about Boris Johnson? He even had the hair. In France Le Pen is the Trump. AFD in Germany probably gaining too. Meloni in Italy. And they had the original Trump for decades with Silvio Berlusconi.

Being salty is not going to help, you guys need to practice acceptence more 🫶

It’s paradoxical. I’m completely opposed to the result on one hand, but accept what-is as what it is.

Acceptance can also become toxic. Do you want to accept a tick on your body?

We have to wait 4 years guys, let’s hope that American institutions are strong enough to withstand this. Let’s try to see the positive side, maybe now MAGA people will finally accept that the elections aren’t rigged.

In these next 4 years, The Democrats need new leadership, ideally a man or, as someone mentioned earlier in the thread, at most a hot young white woman to energize the electorate, nothing more than that. I don’t see America ready for anything else. It's clear that Kamala Harris was too risky a choice due to being both Black and a woman.

Exactly, they had way better candidates but can’t have balanced ones that aren’t as ideologically and monetarily captured.

They’re too busy waving the rainbow flag demanding everyone wave the white flag of surrender to them.

Why is everyone so shocked that Trump won? He won because he believes in fairytales and applies their morals to many of his policies. Just open any app today, and you’ll see things like “Jesus is King,” even if the video is just about a cat or a dog. I mentioned that religious people were on the rise, and many of you laughed, saying it wouldn’t have much impact on society – but it did. Go ahead and keep crying if you want, but fairytales are proving stronger than facts. It’s honestly tragic that so many are blind to this reality.

@Bobby_2021 People voted for Biden in 2020

I mean in my opinion the best choice was so obvious, she shouldn't even have had to campaign.

The fact that she had to work for any votes (beyond what she did before July) is itself an indictment of the American public.

I vividly remember the spite at which people attacked for pointing out the obvious that Biden has dementia. That denial of Truth already sealed their fate IMO. Which is why denial of Truth of dangerous.

She could even get any acceptance within her own party.

Best choice was her to be the VP once again, and some well put together straight white male or female could have been running for the president.

Gosh Putin must be happy right now this ugly fk.

I’ll judge Trump mostly on how he handles Ukraine/Russia/Nato.

but honestly, why do you think people like Rogan (who’s usually a fairly developed guy) promoted Trump?

@Talinn exactly!!

But America is where it should be, this example is a mandate(popular vote) for such. Accept it as such or not (I probably wave my flag with you). (But our alliance is irrevelent)

I don’t know. Maybe they actually think they can influence him a bit. Maybe covid and some woke policies just ended their relationship with the democrats. I mean Rogan already moved to Texas (although Austin which i guess is liberal) or maybe Trump isn’t as bad as we actually think and they are not as wrong as many of us thought. I wonder how Duncan Trussel feels about this. Very leftie psychedelic friend of Rogan.
