The problem with these tests is that they're too easy to game if you go into them with a solid understanding of Spiral Dynamics (ie, 'that's the Yellow answer, that one's the Green answer, etc').

What we would need is a test that shows Revealed rather than States preferences - how a person actually behaves in the real world, rather than how they say they behave.

Is not this the case of most of the self-assesment tests. All tests are Self-Biased.

If my partner cheated on me, i would communicate that and break up, i can lose my temper but probably i would know that gonna happened before it happens.

I scored turquoise but I'm not actually base turquoise. As someone else has recently pointed out in this forum I may tend to a lot of new age ideas (The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle, Non-dual awakening,...) but that doesn’t make me turquoise. Here’s a snippet of what I posted here a couple of weeks ago of what turqoise is using ChatGpt. This test doesn't resonate with me in many aspects.

“Turquoise represents a holistic, global consciousness that views the world as an interconnected, living system. It integrates the cognitive complexity of Yellow with a deep spiritual awareness of the interconnectedness of all life. Individuals at Turquoise perceive reality as a unified whole, where mind, body, spirit, and the environment are intertwined, moving beyond just personal mystical experiences into a collective, planetary consciousness.”’ (https://www.actualized.org/forum/topic/104434-why-turquoise-is-baloney/?page=5#comment-1533140)

P.S: I'm noticing everyone so far scores higher in red than blue.

Since the test is limited to SD and doesn't account for 3rd tier, it's quite flawed and unfortunately incompatible with people centered in the 3rd tier (indigo, violet, ultraviolet, clear light).

A great many of the  "low SD" answers could actually be 3rd tier depending on how they're being interpreted.

What's considered the peak in SD is like the initial baby steps of maturity in Integral Theory.

Going from 2nd tier (Turquoise) to 3rd tier (Indigo) is when you start discarding every notion of self, every association. Then either you keep going until there is nothing left, or what's more likely, you return to second tier, giving in to every survival mechanism in your body going into full panic mode, in fear of dying.

If you make it to the other side, you're now at Violet.

i had chatGpt turn a long personal email I wrote to coral and was like wooh this really resonates on a deep level.

Here are a few of my thoughts about indigo, violet, ultraviolet, clear light, and tier three labels!

Seriously?

Who, in their right mind would give a shit about identifying and labelling themselves beyond stage yellow?

Anyone that has reached Turquoise or beyond, is not going to be interested in labels, being grouped, tagged into Ego mind games!      Full Stop!

Then there is the question of who is the questionable “Expert” that has reached or experienced tier three stages?

Are they of sound 4th and 5th dimensional “Mind”?

OR are they just legends in their own “MIND”?

If, by chance, they have authentically reach any of the make-believe tier three levels, do you seriously think they are going to spend their time labeling, grouping, and categorizing personality traits and human development?

Me thinks Not!        Lol………..

No one. It is great for the ego.

🌻 Thinking independently about the spiral stages themselves is important for going through them in an organic, efficient way. If you stick to an external idea about how a stage should be you lose touch with its real self customized process trying to happen inside you.

@DLH It's not about being interested in labels, or "ego mind games". It's about wanting to share ideas and experiences. I just find it limiting to want to put an artificial barrier at Turquoise, when there is so much more.

Anyone that has reached Turquoise or beyond does not care about being labeled into a category!

They will not take the time to sit with someone who is still in tier one to invent imaginary tier three labels!

Yes, they will share their experiences, but they will not identify themselves to a label or category because it is meaningless.  As Donald would say!  “It’s fake News.”  Lol….

The only people that care about categories and labels are those that still dwell in duality, and are climbing the SD ladder from stage Beige to Yellow, which is all EGO attachments and self-identification.

Once you reach Turquoise you no longer care about self-identification, or comparing levels of awareness, consciousness and enlightenment, because it’s meaningless when you realize that “Beingness” is an infinite smorgasbord of experiences which are beyond Ego concepts, duality and attachments that cannot be labeled or expressed to a 3rd dimensional Ego.

Spiral Dynamics and Integral Theory are imaginary EGO concepts to entertain and help “point” humans towards non-duality and 4th dimensional awareness and realities!

Yes they are helpful, but once you reach Turquoise or beyond, it becomes a hinderance and obstacle that keeps you chained to duality.

As my great-grand-pappy use to say, “Do as you like, and live a day longer”.

I mostly agree with what you're saying. The biggest use I find with Spiral Dynamics or Integral Theory is being able to quickly and efficiently label those around me, whether they're 1st or 2nd tier thinkers. If I don't see 2nd tier qualities in someone, I typically don't care enough to form deep friendships, or pursue romantic relationships, for example. I don't think it's possible to identify third tier consciousness in the same way, unless you already know someone on a very deep level, and know what to look for.

The biggest sign for me that someone is 2nd tier or higher is a level of mental calmness where they usually never get riled up about what's going on around them. This is generally more true for Turquoise and above, but can be for Yellow as well. 1st tier consciousness is completely incapable of this. Their level of well-being will always be directly tied to what's going on around them.

I would disagree that Spiral Dynamics and Integral Theory are imaginary ego concepts. They can be, but they can also be very useful tools for assessing oneself and those around you. It's quite powerful to be able to know with certainty if someone is a 1st tier thinker or not, especially before deciding to form any kind of deep relationships with that person, be it romantic, business-related or a deep friendship.
