Can you rule out a tumour by shining a torch/light through loose skin?

... to see if it's a see through fluid filled  cyst or a opaque tumor?

I did it and doesn't show even slightly opaque through light, can the light be strong enough to shine even thru a tumour. any medicine/phd students any ideas?>
