It should be hitting me in 2-4 hours. My internet still works. Last time my electricity and running water was out almost a week. 
 

I’m not in a flood zone so I stayed. Also when it’s over I like to go to the beach and see if I can find dead animals.

I live in Venice, about 20 miles where the eye hit in siesta key.

Storm surge was pretty bad, Winds over 110 mph, my fence got destroyed lost a few shingles. I have a new construction house with hurricane impact windows and doors (must have in Florida) we made out alright but can’t same the same for the other half of my community. Power is back on thank god but WiFi and cell service is still bad.

Hurricane Ian was pretty bad for us to back in 2022.

My family and I evacuated to South Carolina. We're back now.

And the house is still here. So, that's always good.

I've lived in Florida my whole life. And there are hurricanes hitting the state once or twice per year during hurricane season.

But we just get used to them for the most part. The worst I've ever experienced is having my power out for several days. And that was only once out of the 20ish hurricanes I've experienced.

It would be quite rare to experience really negative circumstances, unless you live right on the beach.
