Yes, it is within the realm of impermanence and illusion. It can bring forth other illusions and feelings. What you are, however, is beyond the mind; and what the mind actually seeks is it's source, which is you and will never be satisfied because it cannot stand on it's own. You exist without the mind, but the mind doesn't exist without you. This is shown during sleep.
