Is the West Going to Shits?

Just look at what happened to Britain:

And now look at all these populists being elected who have Nazi and Putin ties. This whole continent has gone to shits.

If you'd like to live a digital nomad lifestyle you can live a much better life for 1/3rd the cost in other places:

These are the emerging economies. They include Malaysia, Thailand, Georgia, Vietnam, Colombia among others. I will be going to these places over the next few years while paying 0% tax.

There are enough places where you'd be relatively safe from WW3 and The Great Reset. I'm not saying that there will be a global war but I think the chances of it happening in our lifetimes are above 25%.

Usually I'm the last guy to fear monger, but if you watch the channel I linked you find that the wealthy ($1m - $500m net worth individuals) are moving their assets out of the West entirely, including their homes and passports / nationality. That should be reason for concern.

Edit: don't take this thread too seriously, but these are the influences I've watched over the weekend and now it just seems grim to me.

No.

If the West is going to shite then many of those other places will too.

England's 'worst street' is not representative of the entire West.

You guys make good points. I started watching these videos and really believed the narrative. Also he taps into two niches I'd like to learn more about: travel and wealth building. But yesterday I found a reddit thread where many people are saying this guy is actually a scammer and a grifter, so I'm really not sure. Also he just seems interested in going to cheap countries and being driven around in fancy cars but not interested in the local culture or anything.

Regardless, I do hear news every day about rising prices and the middle class having difficulties paying utilities. It would be nice to live in a country where the news is always about the growing economy. Perhaps that's the difference between a country moving from Orange to Green as opposed to Blue to Orange?

That’s not just in the west though.

I’ve heard recently they had to up the retirement age for workers in China, because they had to for monetary and societal reasons. And the people were not very happy about that as you can imagine.

I struggle to live and most of us do on the bottom end of the UK's financial pyramid.

Right now, I can't afford a good night's sleep, so I've got insomnia. I mean, I can't afford anything near where I work, so I either switch jobs again and then look for a flat, or I bike into work because the trains are unreliable and the buses are nonexistent.

Yes England sucks now. Compared to 20 years ago it's a dive. Banks got away with pillaging people in 2008, so much so they went right back to doing it. Covid and finally Brexxit putting the knife in what was left.

And yet people have learned very little, some but not much. They are still electing further right people who want to keep wrecking things for us, looking inward and cutting ties. That's not how to expand, that's how to contract an economy.
