As of now, but I think that can change as Daniel and others have begun seriously studying meditation scientifically

Study it all you want. People will still not do it in the hardcore ways that are necessary. There's not gonna be some magic pill that makes serious meditation easy.

It’s interesting that this topic of Christian delusion came up on the blog last week because I’ve been working on a piece about the occult roots of the "Cult of Kek”(the internet-driven movement) that essentially "magicked" Trump into office by weaponizing conspiracy narratives.not comprehensive as there was a lot of 4-8chan involvement too.

This whole MAGA / Great Awakening movementis an ego backlash from lower stages of development, ironically branding actual spiritual truths as demonic. It’s the perfect example of the trans-rational fallacy (where people mistake symbolic, mythological worldviews for literal spiritual enlightenment.)

The New Age crowd has completely misread this movement, thinking it’s part of a grand collective awakening, when in reality, it’s just a reactionary response to modernity, cloaked in spiritual language.

There’s also a disturbing crossover between the language used to describe actual transcendent experiences and the rhetoric used by alt-right conspiracy movements. The same words(awakening, light, truth, revelation) are being co-opted to fuel anger, paranoia, and fear.

I’ve been pushing back against this in some plant medicine integration spaces where “Great Awakening” rhetoric keeps creeping in (and it’s always coming from angry people with a vendetta against corporations, governments, or institutions.)

One particularly hilarious moment happened after a mushroom ceremony, where a guy was convinced that his life’s mission was to "awaken people" to the evil pedophiles, Satan worshippers, adrenochrome drinkers, blah blah blah…

The mushrooms literally told him to stop projecting his beliefs onto others and focus on healing himself.

and yet the irony was lost on him…

@Adrian colby What's really disturbing is when you come to know that Steve Bannon reads about enlightenment and Eastern mysticism and thinks his whole agenda is aligned with it.

Yes, New Agers are easily fooled into supporting MAGA. Like Aubrey Marcus. A very illustrive case-study of how this all goes wrong.

Not really. There is plenty of record of people entering deep states or even becoming enlightened instantly with no prior practice. Theoretically we could figure out what is going on there and induce it in people.

We know what's going on: exceptional genetics.

Unless you wanna do genetic engineering, you ain't gonna solve that.

People becoming enlightened instantly is rarer than people being born with horns.

It's not a mistake that there exist something called Fascist Mysticism. Why?
- The psyche need some sort of obscure spiritual ideal to make it the source of its values, otherwire  nasty actions wuold be to revolting to bear.
-also, low cognitive developement. Stage Red/Blue are of course going to distort every piece of information they get in contact with, let alone spiritual material.

Thanks for dropping those names. I’ll check them out. Especially bannon.

Do you think this happens when people enter spirituality as a way of ‘finding’ truth ( almost like a confirmation bias ) as opposed to a person who sits one day, has no interest in spirituality and just starts contemplating ‘what is true and how can I discern what is true?’

it’s the difference of a starting point whether seeking starts pointing at the external or seeking understanding of the internal workings of the mind itself before looking at anything external.

I find the deception happens when there is no introspection and it gets easier to spot those individuals. They never reference the flaws in their own mind or having ever found any. In fact they don’t mention psychology at all.

I’ll post up my piece on it somewhere else on the forum and hopefully get some constructive criticism ( it’s not going to be comprehensive, just pointing at another distraction that has thrown people off a path they claim to be on).

“It’s the vibes, man!”

Russel Brand is another.

No good outcome from having poor epistemology. It takes a level of intellectual sophistication most will never reach.

I've had "no-self" enlightenment experiences without psychedelics. (Ralston "Method")

Do I have good genetics? 👀

At the very least he killed his ego, that's what I think. He literally sat under a tree to die or "reach enlightenment". To me that would mean the ego killing itself and the human would then be free from the ego. whether that means enlightenment i don't know.

Yeah, I personally think buddhism is much more than the no-self realization. if anything this could be a strawman of it.

If that was true we would see it happen in their relatives at similar rates but we don’t.

There isn’t any evidence it’s related to genetics.

1) Probably. Depends on how long and hard you had to work the method.

2) You used a method, so that's not the spontaneous enlightenment that was being discussed above.

Some people are just very receptive to a given method. For some people just one weekend of self-inquiry does the trick. This is very rare, and yes, genetic.

If you had an enlightenment of any sort that should already put you in the top 1% genetically.

Actually we do. Mystical talents run in the family. The daughter of a witch is more likely to be a witch, and not just from training, but in natural witch abilities.

Witches beget witches. Bitches beget bitches ;)

There is huge evidence. Nearly every highly spiritually advanced teacher will tell you childhood stories of having mystical and spiritual experiences out of the blue with zero effort. This is ridiculously common for them.

Spiritual talent is like 99% genetic. It's way worse than anyone knows or says.

This does not simplistically mean that the child of gifted parents will be gifted.

Attractive people can easily have ugly children. Look at the daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie. Genetics does not work as simplistically as people assume. Two mystics don't just fuck and create a giga-mystic. They could create a psychopath.

@Leo Gura I sometimes wonder how your children would be like. It's an interesting thought experiment.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

Yes.

He recalled "seeing" God take a shit on a church, which caused him to drop religion.

I'm aware of this. But wouldn't this just be a revelation rather than a spiritual experience?

I assumed this was just an intrusive thought he had.
