I don’t think so. To be honest I think he’s a fraud, I don’t say that lightly as I’m usually pretty forgiving to spiritual teachers.

The same goes for a person who is not purely truthful and loving but achieves a certain level of success. People will often call someone successful a fraud.
Just because many people call him a fraud doesn't mean that he is truthful and not a fraud.

Is this not a stage green shadow? If one was truly loving would they not corrupt themselves for the greater good, not as a meme but literally? Why can't a sage seize control of society? Is that not a sour grapes theory?

So honestly, I’d give you more credit than you seem to give yourself. What you’re doing is unique - not just another interchangeable iteration of “doing the work,” but something distinct and beautiful in its own right.

Why would there be many paths of human development? I think it's one species evolving through time, one mind. What else is there writing random books about random topics?

If the sage tried to force himself on the world, he would drop out of sagehood.

it reminds me of an argument I had with a fellow mushroom retreat member who pushed the idea of Plato agreeing that enlightened people be obligated to take responsibility in governance. I argued if that was really Platos opinion then he wasn’t as awakened as some claim him to be. An enlightened person wouldn’t seek governance that would ultimately corrupt them. They don’t control, they teach and at that they don’t push teaching on others unless they come to them asking for guidance. 
 

in fairness the guy didn’t know the cave in the allegory was a representation of the mind while it is trapped in its own feedback loop and had an almighty anger fit when I elaborated on what the allegory was about. ( his version sounded more like a new age conspiracy theory that outside the cave was the psychedelic realm. No idea that there are different levels of form)

Or maybe there's even higher intelligence in the form of conscious leadership which is extremely grounded and effective. I haven't seen many examples but it could happen. You're assuming it's not possible.
