I really like this talk because it happened exactly the same to me.

Is stepping out of the mist that moment of epiphany when you’re awestruck that you have awareness, that you exist? And in that realization, you become completely immersed and aware of the present. As if you’ve been taking for granted that there are things all around you all this time; an atmosphere, color, light, shapes, sensations, etc. If so, this happened to me as well when I was a kid. And I did wonder what was I prior to this epiphany. Kind of like, how did I go through life without realizing this. If what I described is what Jung was talking about, then that is what happened to me as well. Interesting enough, I remember wondering right after if my mother or brother have awareness too, before contemplating if I’m actually God that created this life for myself and therefore the only one in the world that has awareness.

Thank you for that. Mine was around 7-8. I was in the shower and I looked to my hand and realized: Oh my God!! I am This!! Not even sure exactly what to call "This" but was  moment I was able to see I was the one Moving consciously the hand.

It really is the very first time you’re conscious of your consciousness. And when you look back before this experience, it’s odd. It’s like you were just auto-piloting through life. It’s not that you took what was around you completely for granted, you had childhood wonder of things around you prior, but you never realized how surreal it is that you exist and that you’re interacting with the things around you. Upon this realization it’s like you woke up and the auto-piloting ceases. How the hell was I in auto-pilot mode prior, that blows my mind.

@Leo Gura But isn't enlightenment God realization ?

Enlightenment is a dream in the mind of God. It's a human trap.

Reading your blog post #148, what distinguishes awareness from consciousness? Why don’t you view these two words as being synonymous with one another? Aren’t both words referring to the state of existing?

And please don’t tell me to contemplate, I’m literally retarded.

It depends on how you think about it. People think about the same things in various ways. It's partly a function of how you personally define your terms.

I tend to use awareness and consciousness interchangeably. Although not always.

For the purposes of that quote you can call it awareness or consciousness, makes no difference there. Humans generally hold that awareness/consciousness is a "thing" that a "living being" "has". We are trying to deconstruct that frame and radically recontextualize what awareness/consciousness is seen as.

Grasping Consciousness - Faces Exercise

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

This is what happened to me in a very lucid dream some time ago. I entered the dream in a place, looking like a empty boat of pirates. I found a hiden room that was the only place full of objects, little messy. I found a mirror there. And first I saw my face. I was so astonished for looking onto my own face in a dream that I keept looking into my eyes ,like staring. Once I hyperfocused into my face my face started to morph like this gif shows. And once I got into WTF mode the dream was over. I also see sometimes faces like this on ayahuasca trips. Actually Friday I will go to one ceremony. Since December I dont  drink any psycadelic.

So humans are basicaly humanizing everything, or thing-fying everything. Even awareness being some "Thing" humans or even animals have or possess. Or as a process, process of being aware of something here and there. What you say is that Truth is Truthing itself.

@Leo Gura

You're blog post on Daniel Ingram, you emphasized and mentioned a user on the forum for your blog post. I'm asking because this user created a thread on mod abuse. You know what I mean Leo lol. Im wondering because a mod barely locked it and seems like you mentioned the crocodile in your blog post to blow smoke up her ass before having that thread locked.

Don't act dumb either haha

You’re jumping to conclusions imo. Though I can understand why you see that as a possible motivation.

@Ulax

I am asking questions as to the motivation. Not concluding or assuming. I'm curious as to the connection and it's easy for the mind to be flippant or dismissive.

There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie

Geesh, finally someone that recognizes this too. Although I wouldn't go as far as saying in the mind of God and it's not really a trap, but figuratively speaking because there really are no actual traps because it's the Infinite appearing as such. For the human it is.
