Just because something has existed for a long time doesn’t make it « good »  or necessary is just what i’m saying.

But it also doesn't make it bad per se especially if a person is deriving great benefit and no visible  harm.

But the other guy said Sadhguru is deliberately holding enlightenment back from his groupies. How is it not harm when they are suffering and seeking and giving their money and hoping for many years or decades.
Also many cults are very harmful in many ways. Also misuse of power is harmful in many ways no diddy.

There's no clear evidence of this. It's he said she said. Personally Sadhguru has benefitted me a lot and millions of others. He is the reason I have some hope for spirituality otherwise it's pretty much dead or replaced with new age horseshit. That's why I listen to him. His is not a cult, he can be questioned about anything, he has the patience of a saint and the only role model left in the spiritual world today, it's sad he gets targeted because of his popularity or blamed for someone else's actions. Sadhguru has followed a pure path so far.

You have to think there's something natural about it like sex. Because it has existed for the entirety of human existence.

I don’t know how you related this to sex :S

Do you think Sadhguru has this weird obsessive obsession and fetish for planting trees because he wants to groom them and eventually have sex with them?  I am also a tree so i have to protect my peoples.

@Buck Edwards You cannot speedrun yourself to enlightenment. If one is overly dependant on any other person in hopes to advance spiritually, that's a sign for concern.

Sadghuru cannot make you enlightened. Only you can do that, through years and years of hard work.

It is a deeply unsettling realization that there might never again be anything I can ground myself to. Complete disconnect between past and present self.

like everything else, there's shades of nuance and levels to doing things. There's unconscious worship for which of course nothing needs to be said about that.

But there's also conscious forms of worship, aka devotion. And they need not necessarily be to a human. Often times they're to deities
This is what I understand about devotion:
You aren't idolizing a symbol, that's not the point. You're using your emotions to become receptive to their presence, and that presence is what you will root yourself in and transform. Certain accomplished yogis and deities have a palpable presence, you will know what I speak of if you are able to spend some time with them.

I'm not of that temperament, and dare I say if you're attracted to Leos work you probably wont be. So I stay away from it but I have no problem with someone else using devotion as a tool for dissolution as long as it's done well and they know the potential risks involved

I am familiar with devotion. I do that spontaneously, but not to anything or anyone but my own being, presence. I put my hand on my heart and feel the presence or however I'm doing it at the time. You're still speaking about devotion to something outside, that's fine, but not for me. In the end, it really doesn't matter, it's just a matter of taste and preference. All I know is I'm all there is. Not Princess Arabia because that's just a name that represents an Avatar. Life itself, existence.

On an LSD trip I tapped into the insight that Sadhguru is Evil and not what you think ultimately. I couldn’t believe it at first but surprisingly my discernment and intuition is keen

The issue of Sadhguru holding ppl back, from what I understand of what he has said, at the moment of Enlightenment most all ppl dissolve, that means they Mahasamadhi, as his wife did, they basically physically die, the "Soul" leaves the body, so what would happen if tons of ppl come to his ashram, claim they want Enlightenment, they do the sadhana and then they all mahasamadhi?? It would be chaos, they would have been shut down decades ago for sure.. So just think it thru, he's giving ppl the greatest opportunity they can ever have in Life, its there for them, and he supports them totally, via the temples, ashrams and programs offered...

Regarding Devotion, its a tool, like the Deities, they created them to be used as tools, someone is devoteed to a certain God, Temple, Rock or Guru, its a tool they use to get to the Ultimate via their Emotions, they become devoid of self and totally into the object of Devotion.  It won't work here in the west, we are too intellectually minded and Individualistic and Narcissistic for the most part... But all these things are tools, name something in Spirituality and I'll show You it as a tool, look at it all this way...

I’m not buying the. "Enlightened people just die" stuff

He probably killed her and that’s his lame excuse.
