Oblique way of thinking

@Leo Gura, in the video "How Socialization Makes You Stupid - Problems With Conformity & Group-Think" you mentioned that you come across a new way of thinking. You called it an 'Oblique way of thinking". What is it exactly, can you drop a hint or give examples?

I only found "Oblique Strategies" in Google, I doubt that you meant them.

It's best to use the tag feature like this @Porphyry FedotovIf you're referring to someone specifically. Not all threads are noticed by everyone. You can also use the person's name in the heading to get their attention.

It's hard to articulate since it is oblique.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

@Leo Gura  I would imagine intuition plays a large part in oblique thinking. Is this thinking you do how you come to live a more inuitive lifestyle? Or is oblique thinking more than that?

Some higher aspects of reality cannot be thought of in an explicit concrete scientific manner, but can be thought of in a more loose, indirect manner.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

@Leo Gura It sounds like it's more akin to feeling than thinking. Is that so?

No, I am talking about thinking.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

@Leo Gura

Is it related to higher dimensions of concioussness?

Maybe an example would answer the question.

Keep in mind that body-wise, the obliques are the sides of the torso.

So, oblique strategies would be ones that indirect and proximal to the concept but not straight on the nose.

For example, if you want to understand the meanings of your dreams, you must approach them in an oblique way by looking at symbols and drawing discursive conclusions and finding patterns in them.

Or if you want to learn about non-duality, you can only ever describe it as a finger pointing at the moon but not the moon itself.
