Is The World An Illusion After Awakening?

17 posts in this topic

Hello.

After you awaken by transcending the ego, there's just awareness. Emotions no longer intrude—just consciousness remains. You're no longer stuck in a narrow chamber of thoughts. Your mind gets quiet. There's only inner stillness left.

But you're still in a body that needs food. You're still in the world, even though you're not of it— for your interest in it has vanished. There are material things you see. People on the streets. You have a job. And you need money to buy practical things.

But now? What's next? Because I've lost interest in material things.

How can I enjoy life? Should I redefine my life's purpose now? Or just exist? Like just being.

Any thoughts? Or guidance?

This is establishing Your BEING, that means I determine what/how I experience this life. Illusion/Maya does not mean nothing exists, it means it exists in a way you don't know about.  Before Awakening a tree is just a tree, another person is another person, after Awakening a Tree is a miracle, another person is YOU, so that is a huge difference.

First decided do I want to live a householders life, which is what You said above, a family, work, social life, dealing with society and such, or do you want to go full on with Spiritual Life, more of what You are experiencing and go all the way with it, make up Your Mind and then go full into it...

I'm on the spiritual path no matter what. My mind is silent. It's just awareness permeating through my mind and body. But I don't want to give up on the world—I don't mean the ego world. I want to continue living a normal life and have peace. That means I still want to have a career or something similar. Or joyful play.

But I can't connect with most people since they are interested only in mundane stuff. If I'm socializing with them, it doesn't stimulate me at all. I don't have that much of an interest in worldly things.

I'm alone most of the time but I don't feel lonely.

Did anyone experience this?

How about you, @Leo Gura?

@eTorro that is not awakening. Thats advaita and Buddhist bullshit. Awakening is awe, appreciation, love and magic. Not less life, more.

What you're talking about is still ego/mind. You have not transcended anything. All that seemed to happened is you went from one mode to another. From one State to the next. (My take, of course and not necessarily the case). Nonetheless, what brought you here (your state) in the first place was having to go through all you went through. Now, you're trying to abandon your tools. Saying you don't need them anymore because you think you've arrived somewhere.

You are here to celebrate life, not abandon it. There's divinity in everything or nothing at all. All the mundane things can also be celebrated depending on how you look at them. If you see them as what will fulfill you and make you happy, they will seem superficial and mundane; if you see them as an expression of who you are and a way to enjoy life and the people you love and support, then they become accessories and tools and expressions of the One.

It is the mind that's making the distinction. There's nothing more important than anything else in the Absolute sense. You are trying to abandon a side of you that you don't like for something that you think is more worthy. Nothing wrong with that because we are individual expressions of the One and are unique in our own way. The problem is when you judge or criticize the "other". All you need do is choose what parts you prefer (without judging the other parts) and focus on that. Expand that with your attention, energy and focus with your awareness.

The reason why you're struggling with this and felt the need to make this post is because there's something inside of you that feels abandoned, feels ignored, feels like you're not giving it much attention and I can guess it's the side of you that wants to live. Live amongst people, enjoy nice food, things and places, not living like a hermit and thinking now I've transcended the world and i have no more need for it. You are the world and it's crying out to you to celebrate it in ways that you enjoy but not at the expense of hating the ways you don't.

The world needs more conscious people to interact amongst it. Not to go in seclusion and stare at a wall or their hands. This is the purpose of true Spirituality. If it's at the core, and one has truly embodied their true nature and knows the truth of who they truly are and has awakened to that, there's no situation or circumstances that can rock that boat. You can be amongst people and shine from within and not be affected. In fact, your energy alone can make a positive impact on hundreds or thousands when emitted throughout.

The most selfish thing one can do is to not share the love they feel inside with others who may need it. Hoarding your new found energy will only stagnate it and cause it to rust and become static. Go amongst people and shine from within. The Universe will eliminate for you those people who are not aligned with that energy and bring forth the ones that are. They are your mirror and will help you to see where you need to improve to be the next version of yourself. This is how you practice.

Exactly, a chain reaction could happen.

Emotions and Logic are two necessary parts of human existence to balance in harmony.

Don't reject your'self'. (Or any reflections for that matter).

Seek out an infinite love experience, set the intent and see the other side of the coin is my advice.
To do that you practice gratitude, joy and love toward all things for an extended period of time, till your reality reflects it and you have a moment where you become it entirely.

No if your brain is fucked up and you awaken your brain is still fucked up. You can just see it now.

I think one of my roadblocks in spirituality was that I would lose interest in material living if I turned rigorously towards spirituality. It's something I contemplated on and it still haunts me. Survival and spirituality unfortunately do not mix very well. There are opportunity costs.

My name is Victoria.

For me awakening is opening yourself to the limitless that you are. When this happens you realize that you are the total existence. This makes your current experience perceived as secondary and the primary thing is to be, to exist. Any concrete experience blurs in the face of unlimited reality, the only thing that does not fade into infinity is your essence: you are. This expands infinitely and it is absolutely obvious that it is eternal. This doesn't change the fact that you have preferences, and it doesn't define reality either. Reality is indefinable since any definition occurs in reality. The reality is, and that's it.

Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar – and to God what belongs to God

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty. We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Virtuous and Conscious. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life God is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, ... Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

Exactly, and Caesar sometimes requires you to go to war. Evasion is not an option, if you do, Caesar will send you rowing in galleys.
