Religious individuals seem to be thriving, gaining traction and laughter alongside atheists in this forum. They garner over 100K likes daily on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, and it’s evident everywhere online. It feels as though they have triumphed, Jesus fans is too strong. I must admit, I harbor a deep resentment towards religious people, and I don’t sympathize with them for being misguided. Enough is enough.

When Trump wins the presidency, they will express gratitude to God, and soon enough, everyone will be knocking at your door, urging you to accept Jesus. It's time to stop what you’re doing. Don’t be fooled for a second into thinking life is worth living; it feels as if they have already won and will continue to gain power. The only potential shift could occur if Leo engages in debates with religious individuals, but it seems unlikely.

Honestly, it feels like life is coming to an end. There appears to be little we can do; the brainwashing is far too strong.

Beware of Doomeritis. From my Point of View I see a grassroots movement of people turning to land, connecting with Truth even if it is in the simple way of living lifes more connected with Nature and less with Ideologies and Dogmas. There is a lot of Green Stage Movement going on around the world.

I don’t agree that you can’t measure happiness. If you ask enough people from all the countries in the world how happy they are on a scale of 1-10, i would argue you get a pretty clear picture.

Not really because some people and cultures complain more while some less.  Some of those „happiest“ countries also have high suicide rates and many people feeling lonely or whatever. High medication rates. High depression and burnout rates. Families are getting very small because it’s expensive to have children etc. While in poorer countries often people have huge families and so on. Pressures are different. You can’t measure it imo.

Not in Europe

It’s funny you know

A second ago I‘m strolling around my hometown in Europe minding my business looking at chicks eating a croissant and doing inner work.

And there was an American on the sidewalk wearing a backpack (could tell by the accent) yelling about how we should follow Jesus.

And there are sometimes also Mormons here who are Americans. They are friendly but they always want to talk to people about Jesus and God.

Keep that shit over there in the Americas please. It’s annoying.

But why wouldn't all of these factors be reflected in the survey results?

The happy thing could be happy with the govt, democracy, security, wealth etc.

But many aren’t that happy with their lives anyway. To say people in poorer countries are happier (which some say) is dumb. But there are things like family structure/support in poorer countries that give a different happiness etc.  Sometimes also just more sun can make people happy in a way. For me i like gloomy weather. But i grew up with barely a family and had/have my bouts with mental issues.

I’m pretty sure most people answer how they actually feel on the survey and not how they should feel… The question people are asked is «On a scale from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst possible life and 10 is the best possible life, how would you rate your own life?»

Churches are like museums where I live.

There are more than 4,000 monasteries and churches where I'm from, and almost all people are Christians. 😁

You have a such strong ego that you end up to use such crappy proves as likes on some Tik Tok videos...

He said that he was on a live debate.

He is just frustrated that religious people are dogmatic, take scriptures literally, and have conservative values.

You will dream of having a secular life when religious people are in power.

@Spiritual Warfare Why do you bother to harbor such resentment towards a group of people based on their faith?  What is it that triggers you so much about Christians in particular? Could there be any repressed aspects of yourself that you're afraid of exploring more thoroughly that's causing this reaction?

Why should anyone have faith in beliefs that have been disproven? I don’t care if faith brings happiness; truth doesn't care about your feelings. The only way to grow and improve society is to avoid blind faith and to genuinely understand what is reality and what is not.

The end of separation is the end of desire. It’s life, it’s death, it’s unity; it is the absolute. In this profound realization, we find perfection eternal, a state of everlasting harmony.

I just wanted to say that your opinion initially comes off as extreme, but I feel where you're coming from.

Quote

Imagine you were born and you have no idea what is going on and the adults in your life are telling you that you are under attack and god sent you hereto kill yourself for him. Humans can be programmed to believe anything its not their fault.

Yeah I don't have to imagine that. That was my experience. It has been such a mindfuck to realize how far from reality that really is. I literally spent my childhood unsure if I was going to grow up to fight in a holy war.

It really makes you wonder if like... are incoming souls just booting up Call of Duty? Is it just an FPS and I'm the asshole who keeps trying to Mr. Rogers this shit? Is God just the server admin for a cosmic CS:GO instance?

Wouldn't be inconsiderate to just discard what makes other people happy? Not everyone is at the same developmental level. If the Christian faith makes them a happy and fulfilled human being then that's a good thing, don't you think?

I see nothing inherently wrong with this, even if I'm not religious myself. If it gives them a sense of purpose in life, I think that's great.

What you're saying is that people should believe in what they want, even though it’s absolutely false, because it makes them smile? Got it. Please don’t ever respond to me; I just wasted vulnerable time with a biased human being who doesn’t care about the truth. These people who don’t care about the truth are close-minded and can vote. Remember that it says in their dusty book that homosexuality should be punished by death, but I guess you want them to preach that nonsense to the whole world. Don’t be mad if a religious person kills your mom and wife; maybe God told them to. According to your logic, you have no right to be upset because that is what they believe. Again, don’t be sad if someone rapes you or your nine-year-old daughter.

@Spiritual Warfare What I'm saying is that you'll gain nothing from being angry these people because of their faith. It's very unhealthy to be this obsessed with other peoples way of life. Why put so much effort into it when it won't change anything?

I think people should get to preach what they believe in. I do believe in a free society after all, where people are free to speak their mind, even if I don't agree with what's being said.

So, question your beliefs no matter their source.

The call is coming from within the house.

Yes, there is religious extremism... and that's a problem. And it's annoying being proselytized to. And we have to watch out politically for Christofascist dictator types who may abuse their positions of power.

But all this fear and desire to fight that you have is more about what you're projecting onto religious people.

Like I've seen you say a few times that you don't want religious people to have the ability to vote... which is incredibly authoritarian.

And you've even projected onto Leo that he's going to be some kind of messiah that protects the world from religious extremists... which he's never expressed interest in doing. He just sees them as state blue people and that they do and will exist.

So, you are only seeing your own authoritarian, extremist, absolutism in them. And you're trying to oppress them before they oppress you.

But everything you're saying is 100% about you and the way that you think about things. And if you want to feel safer, you must change the inside first.
