Faith and Ignorance

9 posts in this topic

I find it hard to comprehend why religious individuals are allowed the same freedoms as everyone else. It's deeply frustrating to witness what I perceive as ignorance, and it honestly brings me to tears. If you were to read the comments on a Christian channel, you might be left in disbelief, it’s truly shocking. The power of brainwashing is immense, and we must never underestimate its effects.

I wish I could voice my true feelings without fear of repercussions, but I know that expressing myself freely could lead to being banned. It’s disheartening to see how some religious beliefs can seem detrimental to one's well-being. We inhabit a world where billions subscribe to narratives that, in my view, could be easily disproven.

Let that sink in: we’re not discussing a handful of people, but billions who embrace ideas that seem fantastical. It’s astonishing and, frankly, bewildering to me. I can hardly wrap my head around the reality in which we live.

The end of separation is the end of desire. It’s life, it’s death, it’s unity; it is the absolute. In this profound realization, we find perfection eternal, a state of everlasting harmony.

How can you disprove something that cannot be proven within the same discussion framework?  Or do you look for the higher; more philosophical, and less scientific conclusion?

I have one thing that I feel is unassailable from any angle...faith through personal experience.  Phenomena exists that transcends what one can sit on, What are we gonna do if we can't sit on it and examine it from an empirical perspective?

There are neurological components that indeed can be examined, but in my opinion, those characteristics, in and of themselves are non-judgmental. But, no one has the right to infringe on your rights to be you, as long as you don't annoy me.  :)

I am not a crybaby!

Faith is an expression of love. It also makes life simpler. There is inherent meaning and purpose to life with goals to strive for. Is it silly to have faith? Sure. It’s literally make believe. But it’s also silly to remove faith. Billions of people would have nothing to live for without it.

Why so triggered?

Is it because you were there once

All of them are your lower conscious deeply troubled parts

You should make a difference

In fact unless you help out

you will continue just as angry a millions more lifetimes

Quote

The idea of healing shares the property of other ideas because it follows the laws of the universe of which it is a part. It is strengthened when it is given away. It increases in you as you give it to your friend. Your friend does not have to be aware of the spirit in himself or in you for this miracle to occur. He may well have dissociated the Call for God, just as you did. This dissociation gets healed in both of you as you become aware of God in him, and thus acknowledge Its being.

What freedoms would you hope to take away from religious individuals?
