Both of the aggressors have state policies for propaganda. They have definitely used each other's conflicts as part of it.

To execute a captured prisoner of war who has surrendered or a soldier trying to surrender, deliberately and not by accident, is a violation of the Geneva Convention.

 

 

We're getting to the point of this war where all concern of truth, international law, human rights, the Geneva Conventions, etc... has all been thrown out the window and disregarded. 

When survival gets tough enough, people will start treating these international treaties on human rights as toilet paper.

According to the New York Times, 90 percent of Ukrainian prisoners of war have been subjected to torture, rape, threats of sexual violence or other forms of ill-treatment.

That's normal, the soldiers in any was become psychopath killers, if they can kill with impunity, they do it. After a period of constant pressure, terror, seeing comrades die, that's what happens. Junger, in his bio of the First World War, "Storms of Steel," admits that they executed English soldiers who surrendered after the madness of battle.

We cannot imagine the mental state of someone who is at war day after day. When this is over, we will have hundreds of thousands of psychopaths on the loose in the world. Starting a war like that is a terrible thing, but hey, business comes first. Blinken was pressing a lot to lower the recruitment age in Ukraine from 25 to 18. There are no young people left to go to the slaughterhouse and Blinken is very upset because his business is going badly

I think it's obvious that the number of Russian casualties is much lower than what is said. There is no forced recruitment, there is paid recruitment, and there are plenty of volunteers. They get paid 2000 € a month, which is 5 times the minimum wage, plus incentives for destroying tanks, etc. In addition, they gain status and so do their families. I have a Russian friend who travels to Russia often and she tells me that the general feeling is one of approval of Putin, patriotism and maximum respect for the combatants.

The only problem with the Russian war machine is that it works well and is acquiring an unstoppable inertia. The sleeping bear, as we know...we don't learn from history.

Heard that Trump is freezing all foreign aid to all countries except for Israel and Egypt.

So if this applies for Ukraine too, they are cooked. Their entire economy relies of foreign aid from US/EU. It's a zombie economy propped up by western aid.

The problem is that now Russia and China are close, and perhaps their alliance is not as fickle as the alliances with the US.

I support Israel and Ukraine because I support secular democracy. Both Ukraine and Israel are battling against totalitarian, theocratic, fascist forces.

From my POV, Islam is a curse on the planet and I know that many, perhaps even the majority of westerners agree with me.

Yea it is. China and Russia is just a relationship because they both want to fight against the west imo. Actually China wants their land back from Russia around Vladyvostok.
