Why would he share anything with you again if you adopt that attitude?

It was kind of a joke. But is true, I don´t think any human has become "Liberated" by reading some books. But as anything I guess some acts can "prepare the seed" to Blossom or not.

Yes I will . But read with your heart not with your mind  .that's the point .he will say stuff like "you don't exist" .."life is a dream".."nothing exist but the absolute".."everything is predestined" etc..but you have to see if truth speaks via his words.

why not check his words and see if there is resonance?

I mentioned many times before on this forum  that I struggle with chronic absence of pleasure as well as anxiety. Now here is where things get to me. They say that pleasure (or good moods) aren't all that important in life and that there is far greater meaning and joy one can have in their lives besides their good moods. They say pleasure is nothing more than some chemical feel-good sensation and that.. For this very reason.. it is nothing important and that there are far  more meaningfull   and joyful things in life such as making the world a better place and other such moral obligations and moral duties. Or finding the ultimate Truth in the case of Leo.

But what these types of people fail to realize here are two things. I will explain the first. There is a big difference between the idea of something versus the experience of that said thing. I could say to you that physical pain is nothing bad at all and doesn't matter  simply because it is nothing more than a chemical response in the brain. But if I were to take a saw and saw your arms and legs off...then imagine just how awful of an experience that would be for you.

As a matter of fact..I would actually consider this a form of mental health stigma against people who struggle with anxiety. They tell people to just deal with it simply because they think that anxiety is nothing more than some unpleasant chemical sensation in the brain. But little do they realize the actual experience of anxiety that this person is going through and just how awful and life-destroying this experience is for him/her. I take four types of SSRI’s. 

So you can see the difference here between the idea of something and the experience of it. So you could tell me all you want that my pleasure is nothing important at all..but little do you realize just that What you really after is happiness not truth . Because even when you arrive at truth ..isn't it the happiness that comes with discovering truth is where it ultimately ends ?
Really think this through .

I can answer for myself

I remember vividly the first time I became self-conscious

I was arround 11 and I was sitting at my desk in school

Suddendly bang

I was myself

Like I had all these memories about my past, my friends sitting next to me and family

But somehow, all of that seemed in autopilot

I wasn't doing those actions

Now, for the very first moment I was doing it

I am alive I said to myself as my first thought

What is Truth? was my second thought

Could it be God? (I wondered, as the religious school nuns had told me)

I don't even know what is God, I concluded

But I wanna know Truth

In that moment I decided that I would search for Truth

and I would never rest till I found it

 

These all happened on that same day. I would say it's just proper priorities, that's all.

After that happening and researching in the Internet for some time, I become a profound atheist after seeing the inconsistencies of religions. I debated with nuns and priests, even a few almost left the religious congregation after debating with me. I was adamant with Truth. I got along well in the school despite my position as I was kind hearted and nice. I was just too good at philosophy (despite not even knowing that I was doing it).

I went through so many facets, profound science searching, mathematics, atheism, agnosticism, philosophy, comparative religion. I only cared about Truth and I was happy to call all my bullshit. People around me were so confused, how come one day you're atheist and now you argue so well about the proper limits of understanding God and the human mind. Or rejecting science for philosophy. My consistency was 0, always metamorphing guided by my North Star called Truth.

After roughly a decade of non stop searching: I had my Awakening in lockdown times and I finally got the First Real Answer for What is Truth?

(spoiler: It's an Awakening)

 

Overall, it's just a whole different mindset. Imagine that they made you choose: The hottest girl or being a step closer to Truth? A million dollars or two steps closer to Truth? All human contentment or three steps closer to Truth?

Since the very first moment, Truth was, is and will always be the only proper way for living my life.
