How to be wise

Is Sadhguru really awake?

154 posts in this topic

@Someone here I dont give him authority I do not listen to what he says I do not meditate I have just seen things and he has talked about what I have seen and experienced. Thats why I trust him but he is not my guru as I do not do what he says to do. Maybe one day he will be but I do not give him authority for no reason.

If I am creating him I am creating him to reaffirm that what I experienced was real and we are in a simulation. And I am reaffirming a third time by sticking up for what I beleive through his reaffirmation by saying you are wrong.

@IshangaSounds good . So once again its the relative vs absolute conundrum.

What you said about not rejecting.. just take it or leave it  is pretty much common sense ..like with everything else in life ..the Cigarettes shops don't force you to buy Cigarettes..they just offer them..you either take them or leave them ..you will get the consequences.

The path towards truth is walked alone . No real enlightenment can happen by listening to other people.  Because you are dreaming others .right now @Hojo ..you are not interacting with a person separate from you ..you are interacting with your own consciousness. I'm just a projection out of your consciousness. So when you listen to spirtual teachers there are some fundamental challenges: that you are giving them authority at face value while ignoring the obvious that only you knows who you are better than anyone else .

I do know whether im gay or not .from a relative perspective im bisexual. I like teen girls 70% and handsome well-groomed men 30%.

About not knowing anything about anything.....it's not just me . Nobody in the entire cosmos even aliens and ghosts and even God himself do not know shit .

The path towards truth for sure can be walked alone, just like the path on a dark trail in the woods, but are you going to go in the right direction if You do not know the path or never been down it before?  If You know the path, then You are fine, if You do not know the path then what will happen, will You be fine or not fine?

I would call myself a "Disciple" of Sadhguru, I've studied him for many many years now, more so than anyone I've ever studied, and that is allot of ppl, I've sat infront of him for days on end on a few occasions, done a few of his programs, promote his methods to others, when I read what You say, I think it is perfectly fine, You have done Your own research, You find value in some of it, but not enough to go all the way, that is perfectly fine, but You see the value in it, that is the whole point of it, if someone see's no value, when value is there, and then promote it as not valuable, I have no choice but to say something..

Please someone here that thinks they know what reality is and thinks they are really really smart, if God as You see and know it to be, was to appear here on Earth, what would he/she/it have to do and say for You to recognize it as God, please share it??

I didn't say you are his devotee or something. Relax my friend . You tagged me and asked me how dare i criticise Sadhguru when I don't know my head from my ass and confused about my sexuality..so I responded .

You have to take the risk .its like rolling a dice . You walk the path alone and whatever the truth turns out to be you gonna find out by yourself.

What's the use of a accumulated spiritual knowledge if you didn't derive it by yourself and feild-tested it in your own personal experience ?

@Ishanga It is relevant if you care about the highest states of Consciousness possible. If you're only interested in regular spirituality, improving your human avatar and things of this kind, it's not of much help.

On the other hand, if you are to shoot high, for the most holistic realizations and mindblowing Awakenings in Reality. Well, this is of utmost importance. It took me five years of intense labour and sense making of each major saint from all religions and independent sages; to study their work, to understand it and to practice their way. I've done it with Sadghuru of course, quite a lot. It's good for medium mature spiritual seekers, he's not gonna give you Infinite Consciousness, Omniscience or realizations of this kind. He's great enjoy it where he's at, hopefully one day you will over Awake him and see his limitations. That's all I'm saying. One day you love Sadghuru an the other you go beyond him to higher consciousness, that's how it goes. That's how it went for me with my path, with him and with many others. You gotta learn to be unattached to "person" and be attached to Truth, Consciousness and Reality. This is how progress happens

What does all this mean? Higher awakenings, higher states of Conscious possible, how do I know what this is, how do You know what this is, what is the difference between You (You are portraying here that You are capable or are of a "Higher state of consciousness") and normal consciousness, or even slightly higher consciousness compared to You or Sadhguru or the ones light years ahead of him..

So far You've only stated opinion, in regards to opinion there are currently 8.5 billion different ones, why should anyone take Yours over the other 8.4999999 billiion, what proof or credibility do we use to determine Your opinion is more valuable than others or Sadhgurus?

I've done plenty of Studying of other Saints, Yogis, Gurus and such, so far not many compare with Sadhguru, plus most of them are not here right now functioning in this world alive and active, what good are they to anyone now compared to one that is here active and alive today?

This just only shows your inexperience in the field of Awakening. This is basic stuff. If you keep progressing you will see very clearly what I mean.

I claim I have reached higher peak consciousness than Sadhguru, no doubt. It's very likely he has higher baseline consciousness than me. That is True. It's just a matter of approach and what each mystic cares about.

In the end you want tools for Awakening deeper, to become more Conscious, being alive matters for personal training, otherwise what is the difference between them being alive or not. Sadhguru could be very well dead five years ago, how would you know? I don't see this particular point you made as a valid argument.

Once again, I ask, "How do You know You have reached higher peaks of Consciousness than Sadhguru?", how do You determine this, You still have no answered this, you make the claim, but when you proclaim it here on a public forum of sorts you need to back it up..

Now from what You have posted on this forum, for the last 4 yrs You have been in University, have a GF, done psychedelics on a regular basis, meditate, do Yogic practices and such, and post on this forum, and probably a bunch of other things that no one here knows about...

What has Sadhguru done in the years before You went to University, and the work still continues today? Are we not able to judge someone based on their actions and/or inactions?? Is it fair to say that someone with a very high state or peak of Consciousness would be able to do this as he does over the last 35+yrs, could You do this since You claim to have higher peaks of consciousness than him??

Also notice how You make this personal between You and I will statements like "This just only shows your inexperience in the field of Awakening.", this is not personal for me, I don't care what You or anyone thinks, but I ask, how do you know what my state of Awakening is, by the words I write here or do you know my thoughts and actions on a daily basis minute by minute??

So now Your claim he is dead to support a theory that those other Guru's are light years ahead of him and still relevant today???

Isn't that a bit far fetched? If I said I have watched ppl claim that he is alive today, why is this less credible than you saying he is dead 5yrs ago, please explain??

You must see here how the ego is being used to justify belief systems and opinions to be true over others opinions, which in the end means nothing right!

This "Its all a fantasy, part of Your imagination, its just a dream" bs is fine until it lands on your front door, then what, is it still a dream when someone takes all you own, hurts Your family, destroys all that You have worked for? If You think this is just a dream or unreal, then walk away from all of it, your family, your job, your goals, your beliefs, this forum, and everything You hold on to, then after a month or two report back what it is like, and be honest...

You're missing the whole, it's a dream thing. In your nightly dream, do you rationalize like this? No. You wake up to find you were dreaming. The tiger chasing you, you don't be like it's just a dream, I don't need to run or be afraid.

No, I don't need to prove myself to you. Awakening is one of those things that you can watch behind but not ahead.

It's not a matter of quantity, it's a matter of quality. Adi shankara was more awake when he was sixteen years old than sadhguru now at sixty. Just look at the Atma Shatakam he wrote at that age.

Say I am a phd math student and a someone comes to me and doesn't know the quadratic equation. I just can tell; you don't know the difference between lower and higher consciousness or lower and higher Awakenings, this fundamental to the work. And know you go tell me how can I assume you don't know math. Well you don't know the basics. What do you want me to tell you. Sorry to hurt your ego with truth.

This is after the fact, monday morning rationalization, luckily for me I don't have nightmares, but for those that do to them it is real in the moment that it is happening, then they wake up, stressed out to the max, sweating, heart rate blood pressure up, and then cannot go back to sleep, and then it happens again the next night, and next night, but its not real until they die 20yrs before they are supposed too, lol, so tell me is the dream not real then??
