Oh, that's absolutely true, it can be a self-driven infinitely cascading spiral feeding on the mix of will to live & panic.

Most people are too "normal" and "socialized"/"conditioned", living highly structured lives, worrying about the trivial.
They'd get scared by a ghost, and use the deepest ego defense mechanisms for relationships, completely unaware.
They rationalize anything unusual away as a "hallucination" or "dream", it's funny what "most" people are actually like.

As Leo said, it takes radical openmindedness. But when you explore without substances, you do it on your own terms.
So unless you're drawn into a rabbit hole of a god-complex that turns you insane, the other realities themselves do not.

Sometimes I wonder if I have a superiority complex but I tell myself that I just want what's best for everyone and when I ask myself is that really true, the answer is absolutely yes. So I'm not sure. I should check my tone though. I probably do have pent up hostility that leaks out and I just don't check it. Thanks for checking me.

That said, just because you can handle the worst, most people I know couldn't, so I would not want them to go down such a path.

1. It's like getting in a relationship to explore it vs being so desperate, that you hinge your life on the outcome.
2. The mind can grow stably and natively to perceive and interact in an ESP manner, more safely without Psychs.

   Well, at the time, all I wanted was to transcend actualized reality, it was a pretty insane stack of multi-trips
   Possession is a tricky subject, it's a spectrum across oneself, others, cues, the subconscious and dimensions

But once you understand yourself ..yes you could see other creatures.. but I don't think you could do it anyway.. maybe you are a cultist

@Sugarcoat its a common thing to see during sleep paralysis so it could be an entity. You know how to see entities you just have to enduce sleep paralysis by going to sleep and still being concious.

It is said that yogi will fall asleep with their eyes fully open staring ahead. They know how to log out of their body while retaining awareness of their body.

This is where they see an communicate with entities.

Well, damn. I was most interested in that. I feel your pain. This WYSIWYG editor sucks. I got in the habit of periodically ctrl + a (select all) > ctrl + c. Everything I copy goes to Ditto, a clipboard manager. Works with images too. Just use a hotkey to to make it pop up and you can bring anything back for pasting.

You can get yourself into trouble by doing this things if you don´t know exactly what you are doing.

How about we actually awaken and enhance our inner blissfulness? That's where the well being and the interesting part of spirituality is. Not in this energies circus of spirits. 

The most fucked up people are the ones doing this kind of gimmicks of spirits and playing this energies. Worst type of karma you can pick up. But you do you....
