@Buck Edwards life is so much more soft and loving. its like it removed a barrier between me and existence. it gave me trust in the universe. cant describe it. went from being so fucking tired of life to absolutley loving every single moment

Seems contradictory too.

Anyone making the claim that life is wonderful since using psychedelics, I will look up your history and post where I see there is a contradiction.

@Princess Arabia Its because I am still questioning. I do not have bad days I just see that I am not in control of my mind I cannot focus on something for more than 15 minutes without losing control of my mind. I cannot focus my imagination on one thing without it drifting to something else and I go unconcious in imagination. To me this is insanity, losing control of your mind.

I now have peace but my mind is still out of my control.

The mind doesn't need to be controlled. It's not insanity that the mind is not in control, it's insanity to try and control what cannot be controlled. You have identified with the mind and that's the issue.

@Princess Arabia im just doing philosophy. You are doing surface level questioning and im in the deep end. Why do you just assume I am not insane? I could be eating my own feces behind the keyboard.

I've been using psychedelics off and on for many years, but it's not until the last three years that they've caused a lasting transformation in myself. It was when I finally got a hold of 5-MeO-DMT that I discovered what's really possible via psychedelics.

I suppose you could refer to the changes as "pleasant", but it's more along the lines of genuine and predictable spiritual transformation, when viewed through the teachings regarding repeated exposure to high-level states of consciousness that are described in the various wisdom traditions.

Rather than retell the whole story here, I'll link to the long description I recently typed for anyone interested.

@Princess Arabia I just realized what you're up to in this thread lol. Well, I welcome the challenge. Help me find my blind spots.

Or don't, no pressure. xD

Doesn't necessarily seem contradictory to me

I will leave all this alone. When someone has definitely answered the OP's question directly as to finding lasting happiness/pleasantness without needing to say, but this or but that or requisites, or yes, but not in this instance or whatever, or I have anxiety (that's not lasting happiness)

then I'll be interested; or even trying to define what lasting means and in their own terms.

All of it will just be stories and temporary experiences, as there's no such thing as finding lasting happiness from an outside source including psychedelics.

Coping with anxiety under any circumstance is not lasting happiness.

True enough, good observation.

I'm on a quest to "disprove" what I've come up with so far about this whole Reality thing. Have not been able to yet.

I achieved a permanent state of openess aka happiness much of it thanks to psychedelics. The point is to use them to break the ego, not to understand things.

If you want transformation, you need a long-term and consistent spiritual practice.  The psychedlic journey is a tool that makes it easier to go inside and do inner work and is done when called for within the context of your practice.

You can be regularly happy and still experience anxiety in some situations
