How can there be any deep understanding if everything is an illusion? By that logic, your deep understanding is also an illusion because there is no understanding without consciousness.

There might not be a deep understanding but it's not necessary as all is one. Consciousness implies something to be conscious of. What is being conscious and of what. Consciousness is fundamental but it's still within the dream of separation. Consciousness is what allows for the illusion to be seen. Without consciousness there is nothing. No-thing.

Ultimately all understanding is apparent. Understanding of what? Of the absolute? The understanding happens in the absolute. Ultimately means the same than any relative things: nothing . The only absolute understanding is that the absolute is absolute
