On being manipulated and used

48 posts in this topic

@Marcel I remember you. Are you from Germany ? You have shown incredible resilience. Compared to you my issues are small and you made it through even tough more challenges lie ahead. By the way I was also manipulated few months back when I was hitting on a girl, another boy hitting on her told me that if she has a boyfriend then I have to move on and even tough I knew that she was single at the time I met her. He also told me not to look at her as that is not manly but later I realised that I was manipulated by him. Even tough she became his girlfriend and still is , I am moving on as I have realised that moving on is a superpower .Amor Fati.

@Rishabh R

Well, it sounds like you may have dodged a metaphorical bullet that way.

If this guy is that manipulative in the dating game I imagine this tendency doesn’t stop there and the relationship will come crashing down soon enough.

Also meaning. You are probably in a different league then the girl in question, judging by her partner of choice.

That’s just my two cents anyway.

So. Good on you for moving on. 👍

Agreed. But it has to happen gradually.

I tried distancing myself completely once in the beginning of this whole process.

I lasted barely 48 hours and had a full mental breakdown, that it took a good while to recover from.

The mind is kinda like a rubber band, if you stretch it too much at once it will rip apart.

You have to reprogram your subconscious.

I’m aware hun

From an early age I was programmed with a ton of negative sentences.

The best example I have of this is.

“I don’t want to live anymore“

I have heard this sentence god knows how often from my mother from childhood till today.

When I was having suicidal thoughts as a teen I at some point realised that, „wait a second, this isn’t my thought“ it was programmed into me to think it.

Crazy experience that was back then.
