Higher Dimensions - An aid to understand Infinity

10 posts in this topic

According to this video, we can make sense of 10 dimensions. Now apply Infinity :)

Infinite infinities infinitely embedded in infinity = God

This guy is basically describing what they call Rudra in hindu traditions.

Also here is an answer from ChatGPT:

In the latest theories of physics, the number of dimensions can vary depending on the theoretical framework. Here are some key examples:

1. **Classical Physics (Newtonian Mechanics)**: 3 spatial dimensions + 1 time dimension (4 dimensions in total).

2. **Special and General Relativity**: 3 spatial dimensions + 1 time dimension, making 4-dimensional spacetime.

3. **String Theory**: In many versions of string theory, there are **10 dimensions** (9 spatial dimensions + 1 time dimension). These extra dimensions are compactified, meaning they are "curled up" and not observable at large scales.

4. **M-Theory**: This is an extension of string theory and suggests the existence of **11 dimensions** (10 spatial dimensions + 1 time dimension). M-theory aims to unify the various versions of string theory.

5. **Certain Hypotheses in Quantum Gravity**: Some approaches, like the holographic principle or extra-dimensional theories (such as the Randall-Sundrum model), can involve different configurations of dimensions beyond our familiar 4.

The idea of higher dimensions is central to many cutting-edge theories, especially those seeking to unify general relativity and quantum mechanics.

I think the guy in the 1sr video has dimensions wrong at least 4th. We can see ourselves through time via memory and predictions of the future. So we can see in 4d. 5th dimension mobius line could be karmic cycles.

@Hojo Thats what i thought too, but we dont see 4th dimensional objects. We see 3d objects and time perception is a different part of the mind, not actual sight if that makes sense. Our big truth is that only the present moment is real, right ? Now to see something in 4d would mean that you see the objects past and future. Im getting mindfucked right now.

Ofc noone said 4th dimensional perception would happen as sight. Its just how we imagine it by default. It could be that we need an entirely different sensory organ to 4th dimensional perception or a waaay evolved version of ours.

...or not. People have been talking about a "sixth sense" for a long time, its almost part of pop culture. ChatGPT, take it away!

The **sixth sense** typically refers to a form of perception beyond the five traditional senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch). It's often associated with **extrasensory perception (ESP)**, which includes abilities like:

1. **Intuition**: A deep, gut feeling or insight about a situation without the need for logical reasoning.
2. **Premonition**: A sense of knowing something before it happens, often in the form of a vague feeling or dream.
3. **Telepathy**: The ability to communicate or sense others' thoughts without using traditional communication methods.
4. **Clairvoyance**: The supposed ability to perceive events or information beyond what is available through normal sensory input, often through visions.
5. **Psychokinesis**: The ability to influence physical objects with the mind.

In popular culture, the sixth sense is often depicted as a mystical or supernatural ability, while in real life, it's sometimes seen as an enhanced form of awareness, intuition, or subconscious information processing. Would you like more details on any specific aspect?

This is the best explanation of 4th dimensional reality I have seen that actually gives you the feel of it, and how little we know about reality.

@Arthogaan Minecraft modding scene is getting waaay out of hand bro. :D

Seriously, awesome showcase and illustration of 4d.

If you compare this with the original minecraft for example, you can see that the original does not have actual 4th dimension to it, its just the movement of objects is what creates the illusion of it.

@Sandroew Yes it seems like they are joining 3d and 4d, 4d has nothing to do with 3d its completely seperate. They are saying time is a physical dimension which it does not seem to be. They are saying in 4d you would be able to see you grow old and die but I think time is purely metaphysical. You can witness yourself get old and die inside your mind at anytime you use your mind whenever whereever that would mean we are not in the 3rd dimension we are actually in the 4th or 5th witnessing the 3rd dimension.

If the universe is first person subjective experience only, Dimensions of reality only have to effect the players direct first person experience. The only thing that exist is a first person experience limiting itself. Like a tesseract that limits looking at itself in 5d to experience one of its 3d faces. We could literally be a geometric tessesract looking at one of its 3d faces not humans, one of the faces of a 3d cube could be showing a 5d tesseract your life. Going down in dimension of the tesseract limit its perspective of itself.

I believe human experience is multiple metaphysical dimensions and multiple physical dimensions merging together to form one thing. The only physical dimensions being up down left right back forward. Everything else happening to your life is metaphysical dimensions like you said. Many of them many more than we think or know even tho we are experiencing them right now.

@Hojo There is only the present moment and that can exist in infinite dimensions.

But i still experience the world in 3d. I think our time perception is a different function of our mind. Memory maybe.
But thats an important distinction to make in my opinion. (not in understanding infinity, but the 4th dimension)
There is not a sense of ours that perceives 4d. That would let us literally see the future, no ? We can predict the future and without that human experience would not be possible, but we dont *see* an objects past or future.

Im not an expert on the subject, im just making conversation. Its a decent way to contemplate sometimes.

@Sandroew if you think that memory is time then what I'm saying is memory isn't a phyaical function of the brain its an entire seperate metaphysical dimension of just  memory. Like a metaphysical hard drive of God when you remeber you aren't using a physical brain you are taking information out of a metaphysical hard drive that God has somewhere in spirit.

@Hojo I think I understand what you are saying now.

Yes, we experience time differently as the other dimensions. That's because what we experience (3d) is happening in time (4d).

As you go further in higher and higher dimensions, you can see time is not a separate phenomenon, but one of the dimensions. I think Einsteins relativity theorem is also a proof for this.

So time is not "completely separate" and it is a "physical dimension" if you will. What makes time different is just our perception.

Anyway, the goal of my post was not to focus on the fourth dimension, but infinity. Isn't it mind boggling to think about?
