Chew raw coca leaves for spiritual development, what do you think?

24 posts in this topic

The plant of coca grows in an high part of the peruvian andes, and ancient locals needed coca to survive on an everyday basis, because on that mountains was very hard to find food, water and a warm place. Coca should give a lot of energy, and mental clarity, so maybe it can be useful for spiritual work, maybe chewing while doing a long meditation, trying to stay still and quiet all the time. Of course with a fresh plant and not with this chemical powders that are usually snorted. Also chewing shouldn't give a big hit of pleasure and energy like chemical coke does, it should be much more mild and gentle experience.

I think that the problem with this substance is that people do it without spiritual purpuse, and just for having fun and feeling good...

@Asia P

Can you get the seeds and grow them yourself?

Have you tried microdosing psychedelics? It works incredibly well for me when it comes to meditation and shadow work, although it sometimes has some unwanted effects.

1)No, stimulants disrupts energies and increases ego ; It will make your meditation boring.

2)Why not just take a stimulant, including cocaine?
It seems like you want to experience something because you want to, but since you are afraid of it or at least full of guilt, you sweeten your desire by changing cocaine to "coca leaf chewed by the natives" and then adding "people do it for fun, while I do it to meditate cross-legged, it's serious".
But why do you meditate cross-legged if it's not for your pleasure? Lol; It's like saying "I don't take oxycodone, I take KRATOM" and then "I don't play video games, it's software".

Same tacit blanket.

Lol. We will end up doing speedballs for the 'meditation benefits' B|

I tried coca leaves and is cool for some time but yeah it doesn´t provide any great insight or increased awareness. It gives you crazy intense concentration though, but spiritual process needs another kind of subtle concentration.

Also is incredibly short-lived, you would have to be constantly chewing leaves while you meditate.

I didn't know this. Are you really sure about this?

For example mdma is a stimulant, i don't think it is the best psychedelic for spiritual realizations, but i'm sure that it opened the mind of a lot of ppl that managed to use it not just for having fun.

I think that there's a huge difference between the natural substance and the chemical:

1 with the natural you know what is inside the plant and you are 100% sure you are not taking other strange chemicals that are added to synthetic cocaine

2 if you grow you own plant for your personal use you're not financing illegal traffics

3 the natural leaves contains other alkaloids and substances that creates a completely different experience. (Like the difference between pure lsa powder and lsa seeds)

4 also chewing cannot be like snorting (for exaple: chewing raw salvia vs smoking dried leaves is a completely different trip)

how you can tell is the same?

Yes, i mean for me the main goal of meditation is dissociating myself a bit from the ego.

Everything that increases stress response (adrenaline) will revive and intensify habitual patterns. Very mental people, with a tendency to OCD, to rumination, are rich in adrenaline (or histamine...)

Yes, because it presses the accelerator pedal of your ego, so it takes you out of learned helplessness.
But precisely not only does it not move your ego but intensifies its usual patterns, because the latter are motivated by the perception of an energy surplus.
In a normal setting, if your life (and therefore your ego) is not going well you end up triggering the energy crash of your system and you take a "dark night of the soul" until the ego agrees to evolve on new modes of operation, new survival strategies (personas).
Now, under MDMA, with you literally press all the protection pedals of your ego at the same time, and you think that in fact everything is love, that everything will be fine and company.
Well no, it is a one-off delusional state and how many people really evolve thanks to trips? lol.

Now I increasingly think that the only way to evolve is through confrontation.

That's true 👍

wikipedia says:

"Besides cocaine, the coca leaf contains a number of other alkaloids, including methylecgonine cinnamate, benzoylecgonine, truxilline, hydroxytropacocaine, tropacocaine, ecgonine, cuscohygrine, dihydrocuscohygrine, and hygrine."

This of course, are just some of the more studied and well known alkaloids inside coca plant.

This is true, that's why i'm not sure how deep a coca trip could go...

I gravitate towards this interpretation

@Asia P Just do what you want. Try all drugs and see what they do in your body, mind and Consciousness. Then you know what is good for what and what is bad for what. Trying once doesn't hurt, it's addiction, dependence and overdose what represents a problem.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty. We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes virtuous and Conscious. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life God is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, ... Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

Are they significantly psychoactive ?

Also more is not better, it will just be a different pharmacology.

Nevermind

No, it’s supposed to be very pure before being cut with random products.

But I mean how the hell they are able to separate the cocaine alkaloid from the other alkaloids in a rudimental jungle lab? 🤣🤣
