Can self-induced bad trips lead to growth?

The last two times I took 4-AcO-DMT, I experienced relatively controllable bad trips. Since I wasn't prepared, I panicked, walked in circles, and comforted myself until it passed.

This leads me to believe there's something to uncover behind these kinds of trips.

In one or two weeks, I'll have some free time and want to attempt inducing several controllable bad trips, just breathing through them and observing my emotions and thoughts.

Since I don't have the time to waste on pointless trips, I'm asking if anyone has done this?

Is there a possibility to learn about oneself and grow through such an experience?

I am the one. I am the light. I am the tiniest particle imaginable, and at the same time, nothing can be bigger than me. I am infinite.

Crazy you mention this. I’m just browsing for seeds now that it’s legal in Germany. Not sure if I’ll like it; it’s been years. Thanks.

Cancer patients are reported to live happier after the diagnosis than they were before. They find a renewed sense of love for life and the present moment.

However, I won't desire anybody cancer for maturity. Make yourself wise through consciousness and then let God slap you once in a while.

Besides, you don't know how bad a trip can get. I don't wanna know too much either. Maybe I should integrate that now that I realize it, mmm. Oh maybe that's the point of your thread.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty. We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Virtuous and Conscious. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life God is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, ... Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

The problem with heavy trips is that they tend to leave me depressed for several weeks, sometimes without an apparent reason.

That's something to really investigate. Decide for yourself: I'll understand why this is happening.

I can give you several options that came to mind:

Ego backlash

Overstimulation

Contrast

Long lasting chemicals (change to short ones like 5meos and the like)

Shadow material coming up for cleaning

...

You dont want control you are taking them to lose control. Growth is no control you are trying to birth into the metaphysical that means letting go of the physical womb.

It might be helpful with letting go tho, maybe staying in scared states will help you let go totally and not come back. Worst case you are severly stressing your system for no reason. Your emotional feelings effect your body.

Yes, I also had those things on my mind.

Too bad I was not prepared for it the last time I had a bad trip. I wanted to give my best to stay mindful during it, but since nothing was prepared for such a trip, it was impossible to be constructive.

Absolutely, some of the biggest growth can come from them if done right. I basically purged all of my fears in one big 'bad' trip, by manifesting my deepest fears and other horrors, and powering through the terror till it no longer held any power. Won a staring contest with the abyss so to speak. There was also total surrender to whatever was happening or would happen next. And in any case a bad trip can be later recontextualized into something insightful, especially if you contemplate what 'went wrong' and connect the dots. For instance, I once experienced psychosis/identity crisis as my mind turned into a giant random mess of memories, beliefs, experiences of other people, even fictional characters, which made me question what the hell am 'I' really. On a later trip when I accessed God-consciousness and began to properly manifest as others, integrating that, it finally clicked - oh, so that was what happened in that other trip, identity is infinitely fluid, which I couldn't see then and therefore panicked.

Whichever way you turn, there is the face of God

I have also noticed this but when taking LSD. I do not take large doses and tbh I don’t need to as I have quite a low tolerance to psychedelics.

I only have theories on why this is the case. One theory is that because I feel more connected with love on the LSD it brings shadow pain out of suppression and into depressive feelings. When depressed I feel heavier but it does give you then an opportunity to work through it and release by being vulnerable.

A more straightforward theory is that it exposes a contrast between where my state could be and where it is now in my current situation

I’ve done LSD three weekends on the trot so I’m  taking a break now and will probably go back to mushrooms which might be better for healing shadow elements

All "bad trips" are self induced.

At any point, Consciousness (you) have the capability to choose panic (resistance) or surrender (to Consciousness).

No matter what happens (death, insanity, evil, torture, rape, etc), technically nothing stops you from surrendering to it, and riding it out unscathed.

Panic and resistance is actually a choice that Consciousness makes, in reaction to itself. And then it spins a story about how it had no control, to avoid the realization that it is Sovereign and Absolute.
