🎵Is that a valid Spiritual Practice ?🎵

16 posts in this topic

Hello ,

I'm recently unable to Gauge the direction of which I am going to within my spiritual practice. I live in a third world religious country so attending ceremony and meeting other people who practice this stuff regulary is not an option. The problems I'm facing are regarding Orienting towards the right spiritual direction or falling into another delusion or a trick , I sometimes find it hard to Gauge if my meditations are straight forward , or not. This post requires someone with direct experience to answer so please speak from Experience.

If I played music and challenged myself to not feel emotions while the music is playing , is that considered a spiritual practice ? , How would you alter its description so it can be simplified to a better spiritual practice from your point of view ?

What I mean is when you play music , especially when is it a music you already knew ( for example a music that triggers your memories , or your simplest simplest emotions ) , if you let yourself alert enough to not feel and fall into these emotions , is that considered a valid spiritual practice or Bullshit ?

Again if is it the latter , how would you reorient this to explain in a better way a spiritual practice.

Do your best through explaining , I will not try to "understand your answer" , I will just listen to it , that will help me adjust my orientation.

🐔Thank you 🐔

That's bullshit. A big chunk of my awakening journey can be attributed to music (playing and listening) and really feeling them or become it. Basically every artists carries with them a level of frequency with their music and they can help you awaken if they are ahead of you.

Do the opposite.

There's a thing called Music Yoga.

The point is to use the music to drive your emotional state higher. I do that. It works great but must not be overused or it loses its charm.

Music is like a mild psychedelic.

I'm not familiar with this but rather than trying to resist and inhibit the emotions as they come up as practice, it would be practicing giving yourself eargasms through your entire body and maybe up your spine. Careful though, you could in theory mess yourself up if you're a genetic freak and accidentally wake up your Kundalini or something like that.

I get strong emotions of awe, beauty, appreciation and gratitude when I hear beautiful human voices, specially a male/female harmony. I have a list of around 200 Acapella music videos that make me feel these chills

One of my best memories in life is listening to"emotions" by Mariah Carey as munching on a bunch of sweet-ass mangoes after a long day of work. It made me appreciate life a lot in that moment.

You can also put on some good headphones,  40 hz bi neural beats and hum the tone. That sh*t makes me zone in like crazy. It's like om chanting on steroids and sounds super trippy and alien.

The thing is that we are set to feel emotions constantly.

My view would depend on how you make 'yourself alert enough' not feel and fall into the emotions?

Have you ever done something with deities like Saraswati for example? I meditate on it or listen to music with it, there is definitely and definitively something there when it comes to creativity, inspiration and things happening our of sheer luck.

I don't like that kind of spirituality.

Well, it's a bummer to hear. It's always there for you to explore it, if you find yourself curious. Never felt worse from doing it you know.

How does it work?

Do you listen to music you love while lying down or driving? Or is it more specific?

What are the kinds of emotions/emotional state you aim to enhance with it?

Pretty much

I use it to inspire myself into highly creative flow states and connection to God. From such states I get my deepest insights, vision, inspiration, values, and meaning.

For music meditation. I find this playlist the best:

Behind a pay wall brain.fm has absolutely transformed my life and relationship with Music. I cannot express enough the impact AI music has had in my life. I cannot work without it anymore, it's such a game changer for focus, creativity, recovery from high mental activity, sleep routines... It's music on steroids and it learns from your tastes.

@Leo Gura Check It out

I've always thought you would love it.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty. We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes virtuous and Conscious. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life God is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, ... Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God
