How do you casually date without drinking alcohol

So I met this girl today at the train station. I invited her to an instant date. She only drinks beer. I prefer to drink water; I don’t like soft drinks.  But because she wanted to drink beer. I drank it too. 

The thing is I don’t like soft drinks. I either drink water or nothing. Sometimes I drink wine though but only on occasion. But if I chosen to drink water which would be my preferred option:

1. I would come across as cheap
2. I wouldn’t be able to bond with her over a drink
3. not get her drunk
4. Not harm my health with alcohol 

I always sell myself out to bond with people. In the past I have tried to just order water but the girl looks strange at me. And it is just weird and not acceptable socially.

Just say that you don't drink alcohol or that you dont feel like having alcohol atm. No big deal, hold your frame.

Order water, so what. Your itemized list is irrelevant. Make sure to tip the bartender like $2 for the water. Order it with lemon to make it more sophisticated. Don't worry about those small details. Not screwing the date up should be more of your concern.

I will say there are women though who do get suspicious when a man doesn’t drink, especially if they have had a boyfriend or two. Women are very picky and they wonder if the man is a recovering alcoholic.

and when you been around a violent / reckless alcoholic you will know why they are so suspicious when a man doesn’t drink. 
 

For me, a drink or two is fine, but I don’t like to get drunk.

But in the end one drink will not kill you. Stop being a pussy about it. You can ask for a Jack and Coke and tell them to mostly make it Coke. You can order a virgin cocktial.

You are a man, so you should be the one leading. 

Drinking beer when you don't want to just because a girl is drinking it, is really really bad for many reasons.

Focus on being authentic - if you don't like soft drinks, then just tell her this.

If you don't feel weird about it, she won't either - it's all about the vibe that you are giving out.

Focus on making the date enjoyable for YOU. If you don't enjoy soft drinks, don't drink them.
